This obsession with it being "ground based" has clouded your judgment. Think about the HULL series. Are THEY "ground based"? This design is following the HULL series and will be outstanding for pairing with things like a HULL-A (as an example) for very quick transfer of cargo from one external grid to another. Of course this is an entry level or starter ship for salvage, but if there is ANYTHING the Star Citizen game design is pushing it is team and org play. This ship is designed to benefit those who work together.
wouldn't be execute if that wasn't going on lol, remember the terrapin medical drone?
Not seeing ground salvage. The Cargo ejects from the engine nacelles. The elevator I have a feeling is for component removal, and maybe a small amount of internal cargo.
Yeah I think trying to relate the elevator to being ground focused is a lose theory at best, it’s more than likely like you said engineering or just an alternative form of entry.
i have a elevator on my fat fury, so its ground focused????
Yeah i don't understand what they are talking about there either. The reclaimer has a cargo elevator too and its not ground salvage. The elevator would be great for scavanging cargo, weapons, components, etc from ships before breaking them down. Elevators work just fine in space, especially if it has a grid on the elevator pad that stuff snaps to.
I'm glad to see some more industry ship options. We have SO MANY combat ships, about time we started to get a selection of profession craft. Let's see a dozen more and more miners too. 😊
AMEN. Until they flesh out the other gameplay features it's just a larger Arena Commander.
Yes, if you look at the ship options they are riddled with combat ships and cargo ships. There are also nearly worthless explorer (worthless until they add gameplay for exploring) ship variants for every cargo ship as well. But we have only 1 multi-crew salvage and 1 single crew salvage, plus 1 single-crew miner and 1 multi-crew miner. Let's get some different ships in the verse!
love this show so much. I'm on an inforunners binge watching the entire channel on my drive home. Thank you for what u guys do
You’re welcome, enjoy your ride! Exe
I think you may have missed some things on the Fortuna. It is believed to have a conveyor belt on the outside cargo with the boxes being ejected from the square Outlet you see next to that cargo grid. If you go to the shot of the side of the ship, I thought I saw a marking for a door as well for a ladder to the cockpit
The Taly modules ARE available to buy but theyre buried in the store.
I don’t get why you still think it’s ground based. The reclaimer has two lifts, and it definitely is not ground based. Do you have another reason for it being ground based? I’m honestly curious!
Hopium. ;-)
What is this obsession on “ground based?” When I think ground based, I think wheels. I don’t see any wheels on the Fortune. The Fortune can be used in space and in atmosphere, just like the Vulture can be used in space and atmosphere.
The drawl to this ship over the vulture is going to be the convenience of the conveyor belt and not having to leave the Pilot's chair to put stuff on the external cargo like you do in the vulture.
And that manual part of the Vulture was the one thing that stopped me keeping it.
I anticipate a Prospector / Fortune double starter pack. It would be worth it - possibly adding an Expanse.
CIG selling ships in PACKS! Does a bear shit in the woods? Exe
@@inforunners In this case, it's an obvious Misc starter pack that covers two viable lines.
Guardian has a lift too and it definitely is not ground based.
32:03 They do sell a bundle with the tali and all current modules, it's 360 USD warbond. Under the packs section.
I greatly appreciate your videos like this. It helps me make final decisions on my fleet from getting your thoughts on the ships.
Glad you find them helpful! Exe
The Intrepid is a great little ship, can't wait for the variants.
IMO the Zeus ES should have been named the MR, and the Zeus MR should be the LN. (Mirroring the Aurora naming)
Glad to see ANY work on the Retaliator. Not sure why the old (removed) Port-side elevator still appears on the bottom of the hull.
It looks like removing it would have taken an hour at most, but they "cheaped-out" and just decided to leave it there and move on.
The Retaliator still needs some love, but it is, and will always be one of my favorites. It should be stealthy, even though it is large.
Very informative video thanks guys and keep up the great work!
Superhornet heartseeker Mk2 totally coming for Coramor
I think that the Max in the Starlancer is in reference for cargo. I'm expecting that the build version will hold less cargo to have room for the drones.
13 SCU is likely the internal tanks, with 12 SCU on the outside.
This video is a good reminder of the status of the game to a certain extent.
Positives- there is clear movement to allow for larger ship gameplay. Obviously the Polaris being in game and I agree with the Guardian pointing towards the gameplay changes that haven't happened yet.
Negatives- ship modularity is not in game as it was implied. With what you found out during citizencon about the retaliator it is an unfortunate reminder that ship modularity isn't likely be implemented in game soon. Pretty disappointing to me especially when they thought they had the tech hurdles figured out when they spoke about the HullC test a long while back. I feel like that is another big reason the Galaxy got pushed. Modularity not actually ready, a solvable drone issue for ship base building, and maybe some more shared assets between Perseus and Polaris. The modularity seems like the most likely reason for the change for basebuilding though to me.
I own a lot of the ships released last year. Firebird is super fun to fly and fight with. It's the only ship I didn't buy then went back and bought in this 'If You Missed It' sale.
This is so cool! I am all about it. I have always loved the prospector chassis and wished it could have further utility beyond mining. I appreciate that the skins map too, I've collected a number that I look forward to showing off on the Fortune
I hope the Fortune will be "between" the vulture and reclaimer - and you can "bring" about 32-36scu of cargo in a vulture if you stack enough and count the buffer - so you should be able to bring along more. Maybe be able to stack more than one layer on the external grid (automatically) in addition to have a more efficient salvage-head than the vulture to compensate for the only one - as the numbers shows for the reclaimer. Maybe having better scraper capability to balance a (possible) not possible dissolve function? But I do love the cockpit and interior of the new Fortune. 😀
The Max is the only cargo ship that made me wanna melt my C2. It feels really amazing on the inside. The C2's cargo doors being broken for what feels like forever doesn't help. That being said I haven't melted the C2.
Something I have to say here with the prospector variant is pipeline leaks. Did have notes about there being a salvage hold as well as a cargo grid for RMC that back elevator is really easy way to get the stuff onto the ship and moving on. I can see that as being a place to put components or weapons from a ship without blocking the cargo grid like what happens on the vulture.
At first I was really grumpy about not getting a medium size salvage ship, since that is the feedback that has been provided to cig over and over and over again. But with the ironclad coming out and the prospector being the size of ship that basically fits inside of that, it makes sense to have a salvage ship that could fit into an ironclad
The Prospector is too tall to fit in the Ironclad with the upper hanger door closed? That's what I thought I read.
@@SpaceShortsYTIt's possible. I know that the vulture was definitely too tall, but starduck did a video that showed the prospector could probably fit. I guess it remains to be seen when both ships are released LOL
@@MichaelDBruce That is fair. And for the record, I hope you are right! I own the Ironclad .jpg ;)
Picked up a firebird and Starfarer to ccu later to the Genisis. Fueling/rearm/repair is going to be my main money maker
SM is an awesome little loot bunker truck but it’s a bit back end heavy.
The Intrepid has rapidly become one of my favorite daily driver type ships despite its poor stats. The one thing it really needs, though, is to switch its SCM speeds with the Avenger. That would actually justify the higher price over the Titan, and allow it to escape if jumped by one, while now it's just dead meat.
They haven’t looked closely at the pics that show doors for the boxes to be ejected out onto the grids. You will not be loading boxes on the ramp and then putting them on the outside. Absolutely no one would be buying a ship that held less cargo, was twice as hard to move cargo, and was limited to where it could salvage.
Can't get behind the Starlancer because the Hull B and Railen exist? lol
I like the Intrepid I got one as my starter and just for getting about ( a daily driver )
I think they should change the prospector bags to the same system as the fortune self filling boxes just keep the 32SCU so kick out 2 x 8 SCU boxes a side or 8 x 2 SCU LOL
the Fortune is ok and doing the same as the Vulture not everyone picks a ship on what it does. how good it is to do X compared to the other ship, some people pick a ship on looks , so having a choice of ships that do the same thing is a great thing they dont have to be better
The Fortune looks like it's going to be just a scraper. Not sure how many boxes we'll be able to cram into the back, but for just panel scraping it's probably going to be more efficient than the Vulture. I don't see any breaking tools on the Fortune, so I doubt it'll be able to. As it is a salvage ship I will want to get one, I just like salvage at this point. But I feel it will be more limited/focused than the Vulture, but it might play better with a team than the Vulture. Since it can print cargo outside a team mate can come by in a Hull A, Taurus, or some other cargo ship, offload all the buffer onto their cargo ship while you're still scraping, and then either go sell while you keep scraping or go look for panels until you're both full.
As for the Starlancer Max, you know how the Starfarer was an FPS level inside? I feel like the Starlancer was made as a movie set. It feels like it is meant to be the hero ship in some adventure game or in a web series. Lot lots of living space, way too much for a normal space game. But as the lead vessel in some linear adventure? That's lots of areas for dramatic moments to play out, for characters to interact or set the mood for some event. It's a flying movie set, and I think it's fun. I would have liked more cargo on a MAX vessel, but the cargo arrangement on this thing also feels like it was meant for movie shots.
if you look at other images, the left and right rectangular objects below the main front window, appear to able to fold outward from their position in the video, which could imply they are not the lights per se but the fracture\disintegration field\beams origin, so it can fracture ships to disintegrate them for CM, and consume that CM via the arm\head.
Based on the video here, unless the Fortuna is half the price of a Vulture then it's unappealing; do not like the styling of the Prospector and this is too similar to the mining ship plus it has external cargo.
I personally love this star Lancer. I traded in my starfarer for it and it's been probably one of my most enjoyable ships. I think the tac is kind of the perfect.you and a couple friends in a crew doing missions together type of ship. It's like the smallest carrier as well as it has a tiny hanger.
The only problem I have with the Intrepid is that it only has one gun. I was on a mission and lost my gun, rendering the ship unable to complete the mission. Love the way it looks and feels, but unfortunately that's what stopped me getting one
redeemer is good but i still not understand that the beds are downstairs..... paladin is overprised too ^^ valcure love this ship one of my ingame goals to have ❤🔥the vehicle loading ramp is a big plus for it, if armor/weight is ingame it could be a intresting to see how they all perform :)
Not a fan of the Starlancer either, however do think the TAC is the most perfect bunker/merc ship! Well defended, good size turrets to take out ships and bunker turrets if needed, enough room to carry cargo/loot and a ground vehicle, med bay to heal up, enough space to bring a group with you.
This screams a solo panel salvage ship and the vulture with the vtols and being able to use a tractor beam and salvage beam at the same time
I hate how they took away the repair rearm bay on the Polaris when originally stated it would come with one
With the Fortune, wouldnt it have an edge if it automatically just fills the crates and they are stored? Wasnt a big issue with the Vulture that if you were solo, you had to keep stopping and getting out of your seat to move full crates into the cargo area? Did they change that? If not then I would think the Fortune would be better for a solo player.
As far as the Tac goes vs other dropships. My feeling is that you gain much more versatility with it vs other dropships at around the same price. So when or even if they give the Redeemer a dropship module it will provide a bunch of fire support and thats it. The Valkyrie has more troops and a vehicle option but not much else, and is a big target. Paladin is a straight up gunship with no dropship options. The Tac gives you around the same troops as the Redeemer, roughly similar fire support, a potential vehicle, air support, support equipment (cargo), and a med bay. Yes its a bigger target, but it will also be better shielded than any of the other dropships, and possibly better armored. If you are trying to be sneaky then I would think you would use a Prowler, but otherwise the Tac seems the most versatile option of the dropships, and you can use it to make money when not using it as a dropship.
You point out 13scu buffer, I think you missed the opposite wall panel. So its 13scu per side, 26scu total. There is a Furtune Green skin that could also indicate a Stella Fortuna release however Fortune Luna is a bit more name pattern specific to Lunar New Year. MISC Fortune offers a choice of longer range RMC specializing vs The Versatility of the Vulture. They would make an excellent pair for full spectrum salvage. I hope to see it in the $150-$155 range comparable to Prospector given low development time and skill and reuse of the chassis.
Algared is partially invisible or (more lame) part of the pattern on Algareds shirt in the intro is replaced by his virtual background.
Redeemer is a human Prowler. Always has been. People have tried to defend the gunship moniker, but its not.
will you show off any of the paints available during the event?
Honestly, it looks like the fortune might only be for hull scraping as it does not have a shredding system and compressing system like the vulture does. I can see them doing this so people will see the fortune as a better ship for the interior, but in reality it might actually do less in the distant future. Just an observation though.
One more thing I noticed looking through the pictures and descriptions. It doesn't appear that the fortune has a structural salvage option. I'm not seeing anything like the forks on the vulture or the reclaimer claw that suggest this can do anything than scraping...
Intrepid is... decent. No issues with the aesthetics, it just doesn't offer anything really vs the other starter ships. If it was just a bit faster or there were the intention for smuggling upgrades down the line I could just about see it, but the Intrepid is just missing a little bit of something.
All that's needed now is a repair and fueling variants ?
I picked up a Paladin, Guardian and hornet mk II but all from melted credit with LTI tho...
Is Star Citizen still unplayable? It seems all I hear is new ships on sale.
I think this will be hull scraping and repair with no ability to fracture hulls.
Super Hornet might be for Valentine's; given the Heartseeker, no?
Is this going to be 13 SCU a side (I noticed those black panels that state 13 SCU are on "both sides" of the internal vehicle), so 12 SCU physical (outside) and 26 SCU buffer?
No. It's like the reclaimer. The buffer is shared
@@essentialasa So a total of 25 loaded? 12 SCU hanging on the sides (unless the sides are double stacks - then it's 37 loaded), 13 in the buffer?
Where is the Fortune's suit locker for the specialist armor and backpack they said you wouldn't be able to wear while piloting
cheap hammer head to polaris? would no say no to getting my hands on one of those.... :D
I think you need to drop the "ground based" idea. Nothing about this ship screams this is for ground gameplay.
I don't want new ships, I have been waiting over 10 years, I want a playable game, with playable ships, without bugs, without losing my time crashing because of badly coded game. I want to enjoy that game, no more ships
Red = fortune & good luck in Chinese culture I believe.
Surprised you didn't cover the fact there's two salvage depots which eject on the outside of the ship, on both sides
This was in the first video we did on it this as we said at the start was said an inmendhem to the fiurst video. You can find it here: ruclips.net/video/Ry9N4FXJocE/видео.html Exe
@inforunners ah thanks guys!
@inforunners assuming you've seen the official info release what's your take on how the grids work? I'm shocked at how clunky it is. I heard that the boxes would move but I definitely didn't have THAT in mind
It would be place holder eventually it will animate on the sides ejecting. Sadly atm the Fortune seens exactly like the Vulture. You even have to get up to eject the salvage... So we getting our first ever double up. Which we were told as recently as Citizencon wasnt happening till they were done doing one in each catergory. Exe
@@furyiv They will move its place holder clearly. Look at the commerical... They move. Exe
Guys, its over, thats all, we made a mistake
Hey Ex. If you're serious about the HH/Polaris CCU, I could use one. Would be interested in working something out for a C1 concierge skin too if you have one. Thanks.
No reason to get a Super Hornet. It provides no benefit than just having 2 hornets.
I Wish CIG just copy paste asets to prospector and make quick rework of this miner.
I remember when ship sales was only during certain times of the year….looks like CIG are becoming more and more greedy….when the game is still in a broken state..😢 “My Opinion”
Less fortunate always call others greedy.
All ships should be on sale all the time.
@@vegas6908I disagree. They should be on sale in game all the time. Other than that they should only sell for real money when they are first announced and major in game events like IAE.
@@sanctred so you like the FOMO.
@@blackworldtraveler3711 Definition of Greedy,” having or showing an intense and selfish desire for something, especially wealth or power.” (I.e. ATLS $40) a.k.a “showing”. I believe that’s crazy..but like I said that’s “My Opinion”
Fortune is a terrible name for misc. sounds like misfortune.
they did that on purpose. if you think about it, it's a brilliant name. because it's being used to make your fortune off other people's misfortune. salvage is making money off misfortune.
100% deliberate. Exe
honestly you did so well until you all got to the zues cl. all cargo ships do not have to be equal. it was said that this cargo would be able to go through smaller jump points that most cant with cargo. does it mean that happens no but it was said.

i also melted the firebird after the price hiks on missiles its not worth playing on cant do missions cost way to much for missiles an you need to land way way to often to resptock just not a fun ship dont buy that Crap
mist fortune i am sadly to see that they do not build a ship in betrine with 50 scu or 75 scu so you can stey out longer time 12 scu no thx do already fly in an out way to often
Stop trying to artificially limit / restrict what ships can / should do. Ground only or space only salvage would be sinply dumb and unnecessary for a ship this size. Space only salvage would be something orion level.
Either way why would you want to even encourage such a thing. Why do gamers always want dumb and unfun artificial limits/restrictions on things. Chill out and have fun man
Because of design. If all the ships do exactly the same thing. Then why have different ships at all? Exe
@@inforunners .... thats like asking why have all the ships fly, "doing the same thing" is not always bad, its not a bad thing for a ship to work in space and also have a ground lift, doesn't mean the lift makes it ground focused.
Thats like saying the 890 jump is mostly for planet side exploration, touring / landing cause it has the elevator cargo bay and elevator down to the ground.
The industrial vehicles are restricted / restrictive enough as it is, to want / even discuss putting them in even smaller boxes is absurd, I love you guys BTW but once in a while you will make a statement that is completely illogical by any point of view I try and view it from
The Misc Cashgrab.
I feel something huge that was missed on the fortune. It has not one but two stations with 13scu buffer. With the 12 on the sides (6 on each side) plus the 2 buffers, and maybe 4ish scu in the back pushes the fortune to over 40scu. That's dwarfs the vulture in carrying capacity. The big con of the fortune is that it has only 1 head.
Now WHY DID THEY REMOVE the front lights that were on the prospector? I don't agree with that decision.
Did they remove them? I thought they just changed the design of the lights
No reason to think there are two 13 scu buffers, the reclaimer buffer is shared between its two stations.
