This is the best short explanation of how a hearing loop works that I've ever seen. It covers all of the essential points - and bears watching more than once.
The sound on this video is the best I have heard since my cochlear implant 6 months ago.It is the first time I have not needed the captions!!!! Was there anything special done that made the audio so clear?
We're not sure what you're referring to. The video doesn't talk about cost at all. If you're referring to the line, "without any additional equipment," that's meant with respect to the user since they do not need to borrow a headset or bodypack receiver if they have their own t-coil enabled hearing device. Of course, equipment is required to provide the infrastructure at the venue.
I know it is super late, but for anyone else who has the question: It basically is a transformer, where the loop wire is one side of the transformer and the T-coil in the hearing aid is the other side of the transformer, and they are magnetically coupled. There are now lots of great videos on RUclips on the subject, such as this one (I am not affiliated with Ampetronic other than using their training materials): ruclips.net/video/WifPN-8NF_0/видео.html Enjoy! :-)

This is the best video I've ever seen to explain loop systems and telecoils and why we need them. Thank you,
Please add subtitles!

Leah OConnor using telecoil
Thank you. 🌹
Imagine life sounding like the example at 0:49 into video ALL the time
Yeah, that made me a little sad. I wanna hear like that all the time!
Saw this in Chennai metro
This looks like it might be a really good video, but unfortunately it is not captioned!!
There’s literally built in captions at the bottom of the screen
I know I am 6 years later... but what happened with the app? :(
this claims there is no additional cost. How is that possible given the loop requires a special amplifier?

Doesn't answer the question of how it works in actual technical terms.
