EXACTLY. this is the exact reason I like emo music. which is just short for """emotional music""" and yes... this song fits perfectly into that genre. It's a fucknig emo song and it's great. Ergo was a great Anime, I loved the different art style, now everything looks the same, big ol eyes and bright color despite dark story lines, it doesn't match. Ergo was darker and the style matched, plus the great opening...I'm just getting old *sigh.
Very chill, yet deep in a way that slowly draws you in, preparing you for the wonderfully slow grind that is Ergo proxy, reminding you that not all good anime is one long screaming/ punching session after another. Ergo has a lot of depth and history to it. And that is what sets it apart, aside from its wonderful and thematically perfect intro.
