Why call Le Pen right wing? Is this because she opposes mass immigration and open borders?? An examination of her policies would suggest that she is closely aligned to the pre Tony Blair British Labour Party that was once described as left wing. Le Pen is concerned about living standards and purchasing power of the ordinary voter. As I said in another video from an anglo-saxon media, I see here a lot of no-connoisseurs of French politics and especially of the French presidential elections, the broadest and most free in choice of all the bigest Western democracies. 5% for Macron it is a big gap and it was not expected with such a big gap (in the last poll the day before yesterday Macron was only 1% ahead of Lepen and on some even he was second in the first round!). 4-5% is a big gap because for your information therefore, there were 12 diverse and varied candidates in the first round this year, 100% to be divided and shared not between 2 candidates but between 12!

Describing French politicians and their « alignement » is usually done by comparing their policies(economic, social, international) to other politicians, with macron at the center (leaning a tad to the right), you end up with the Republicans(Valerie Pecresse) on the right, Rassemblement nationale (Marine Le Pen) even more on the right and Reconquête (Eric Zemmour) even further on the right, but keep in mind Reconquête is still a pretty young party, and historically the Rassemblement nationale(former Front nationale) was as on the t right as you could get, earning them the alignment of « Extreme Droite » (Extreme right or far right) ont the French politics scene

An examination of her policies would suggest that she is closely aligned to the pre Tony Blair British Labour Party that was once described as left wing. Le Pen is concerned about living standards and purchasing power of the ordinary voter.
