    Hi Satou-san, your lessons are great and easy to understand for me. I am coming to Japan soon and I was wondering do you do private or group lessons so I could improve my Japanese quickly?

    Satou Sensei, when answering these questions, could I also use "はい、そうでした。" and "いいえ、違いました。"?

      Thank you for your comment! Those answers are not wrong but if you wanna answer using ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ instead of any specific verb or nouns, it’s better to say はい、そうです。or いいえ、違います。because they mean “what you are saying is right/wrong.” ,so it doesn’t have to be past tense. Hope it makes sense🙏🏻

      Thank you for your comment!
      The ‘u’ sound of ‘gakusē’ tend to be silent👍🏻 Actual pronunciation is like ‘gaksē’ 😊

    Hello Satou-san why the Sentence is: Bangohan wa Pizza deshita ka and not Bangohan wa Pizza o deshita ka? Pizza is the direct object in this? And Need the particle „o“ ? 🫣🤷‍♀

    • @satous-nihongo-playground
      @satous-nihongo-playground  Месяц назад +1

      You need the particle o if there’s an activity verb which requires it.
      Taberu(to eat) is an activity verb and needs the particle o like: Pizza o tabemashita. (I ate pizza.)
      However, there’s no activity verb in the sentence: Bangohan wa pizza deshita ka. (Was your dinner pizza?)
      That’s why you don’t need the particle o here. The particle o indicates the direct object which is directly involved or affected by the action(verb). If there’s no action/activity verb, we normally don’t need to use the particle o.
      Hope it makes sense to you🙏
