the 'having cracked plugins = not seeing value in their music or themselves' doesn't fly when you consider even Kanye used a cracked serum. Pretty sure he values his music and himself more than anyone !!
Nice Vid Streaky! Thanks! Personally i am not ready for mixing other peoples tracks yet as not enough talent to make a great mix. I do love the sound in my room now as it is, but because hear it so clearly now its more difficult to get it right! Hahahahaha. Wish i knew how to proces a Virtual piano and drums into a professional sounding track like in those high-end Jazzy albums. I know they played and recorded it perfectly themselves in a proper room and with great Mics and great engineering. Just need more skills to get to an acceptable level of engineering. I am an Audiophile too thats makes it difficult!!! Cheers!
Hi, thanks for your great videos. Question on Dac and Adc, assume you use these and if so which brand? Also what are your thought on people spending thousands of pounds on a dac such as a chord Hugo. As a recording/mastering engineer do these actually make sense.. ? Thanks
I believe you should look for your needs, sure your tastes about gear are important, but... needs first, I believe that all will conspire if you are wired to the success wheel, just have to hit hard the crowd.
Hi Streaky, big fan here! I've a quick question; At the moment i can only afford the NU MU or Avalon 747sp , which one would u say its better on the sound? I'm looking to master EDM. Thanks for your time!!
Streaky what do you think of all the WARM Audio stuff? Is it too good to be true? I know I diss you for the fact that you love ridiculously expensive gear but deep down inside I’m the same and believe that most good gear is pricey for a reason :) I’ve heard a lot of great things about WARM so it’d be interesting to get your take on things. Nothing in particular, maybe their U87 copy and mic pres.
Streaky I had an idea. Your channel is clearly getting bigger. Why not get someone to do the more creative gear reviews through a subsidiary on your platform? Then you can give those vids your hallmark of approval and gain more market share/viewers in the RUclips game. There’s a certain quality and attention to detail in your vids that the synth, mic, eq, compressor and all around creative gear review game is missing... You used to make music so its not going to be hard. Plus you already have the contacts with suppliers etc... I think you need to start interviewing for a creative gear co host and grow this thing!
How do I get costumers? The little people I know won't even give me a chance for free. The only person I'm mixing and mastering right now is me, myself and I. I got pretty decent at it because of it but my network is still nonexisting. I'm kinda freaking out because I'm willing to roll with the punches and work for free but even the artists I know won't even give me a chance (and they heard my mixes). How can I get costumers? How can I meet people. I need help.
Don't work for free ever. People won't take you seriously. Present yourself as a professional and then people won't try to get you to work for free for "exposure". FYI I'm not a sound engineer, but I've had a few businesses. I'm also not talking about volunteering for charity.
Very motivating and a good reminder that I'm in it for the long haul
Brilliant Streaky. Love this vid.
You started monetizing your content...about time. You do great content, you deserve to get some in return. As always big like from me.
BASSADY cheers
"I have to charge for my time, because it's how it is"... Amazing! :)))
Finally, some bullshit-free advice for up-and-comers. Great video, Streaky!
Nothing but the truth. This is the way 👌🏽
Where do you find a consistent pool of clients? Even working for free, it’s extremely difficult for me to find the demand
😂😂 your explanation of the cheap people is priceless . Great video
Brilliant thanks 🙏🏾

Great!
Hi Streaky. Can you tell me how can I make a website for a sound engineer like yours. Please do let me know. Thankyou. Regards. Kleven Soans.
Thank you - as always!
How much manny marroquin charges?
When he is mentioning "per track", does he mean per track in the song, or does he mean per song?
Per song
