Finally, a recording where this isn’t played like there’s a fire in the building. I can actually here the individual notes! Well played! Thanks for posting.
I actually bursted out laughing at the fire in the building, but you are correct, very comfortable control over the keys and pedals - very well done, Ms. Phillip.
Unbelievable, this young lady is pure talent & her heart is in her music I can tell by how she's focused & her attention sharp & calm. She clearly knows what shes doing & has been taught well. I pray for her happiness & prosperity because her music is bringing me pure happiness :D
As a Catholic, this was a beautiful arrangement. A beautiful church with such beautiful acoustics to comply with God's word and God's name, it is truly an honor to hear such beauty. Thanks be to God! :D
I just came across this video and have never seen your channel before. I love Burkhardt’s arraignments! Your technique is very clean for your age! It was great to be able to hear the individual notes well articulated and without a rushed feeling. I hope you keep playing into your college years and adulthood. Keep practicing, fantastic job, and always do it to the glory of God!
Hello Yasmin, it is again a special moment to listen to your organ playing. This toccata cheers up and honors Almighty God! Thank you for sharing this beautiful video with us. Best regards and have a blessed weekend! Roland
@@TheReintech, she commands this music. Her playing is assertive. Also, her peers (by age) would be terrified to do what she's doing. Kids even bully their peers for being unfashionable or non-conforming. You may disagree with me but in my view she looks like a leader.
@@ysamusic3 Likewise. I appreciate your response. Happy Sabbath, too. I decided to listen to your recordings as part of my Vespers. We SDA organists are needed, some of our churches seem to be infatuated with the praise-style of liturgy for some reason. I like organs, choirs, piano, choristers in robes. The organ you perform on has great tone. How many ranks? It sounds like it may have in the 30 to 40 range. Another thing I would like to see is our churches to get over their infatuation with carpet and fully-upholstered pews. That all just absorbs sound. I am a sub in my local AGO chapter and have the opportunity to sub at other churches as well. Some with very reverberant sanctuaries. The Lord has blessed you with a lot of musical talent. Your articulation and phrasing is phenomenal, and you have wonderful and colorful registrations.
Hi! SheetMusic Plus has a great copy of the piece: www.sheetmusicplus.com/en/product/praise-god-from-whom-all-blessings-flow-downloadable-21827809.html?aff_id=476624&source=pepperjam&publisherId=159404&clickId=4887322695. Happy playing!
Very nicely done! Your pace was just right and I loved how bright and bold the stops were. You're a very talented organist. I'm looking forward to watching/listening to the other videos on your channel. Keep up the great work. Kudos to your audio engineer. The audio quality of the recording was excellent and that's not always easy to do. As someone who runs the media for my church I'd be interested in knowing what your recording setup is - what make/model microphones, where placed, traditional analog mixer or digital, what post processing software... nerdy stuff.
Praise the Lord! I'm glad you were blessed! Currently, most of our recordings are done via my phone without mics, and I use Audacity for editing. I've begun researching mics/mic placement/better audio software in hopes to upgrade in the near future, but am always eager to learn tips from those more versed in those arenas!

Why a leader?

@@TheReintech, I add that her peers will come to respect her. Commanding respect is also a part of leadership.
From a fellow SDA organist, this is a beautiful performance. You have a supple technique and a very beautiful and apropos registration.

I know the original hymn & is normally sung in my church after collection.
This hymn was often sung in my church after tithes/offering as well. Brings back good memories!
