Tomorrow morning I will be driving 3 hours to make a presentation to all the students in a high school automotive program. I will cover all the aspects of transitioning from a high school automotive program to a post secondary automotive program and on to a working automotive technician. One of my main goals is to make sure the students understand how "private for-profit" automotive schools, such as UTI, differ from state supported automotive degree programs.
I consider myself a subject matter expert on post secondary automotive training and they will get the facts on actual program costs, credit transfer policies, etc. between all the automotive training options. If you are ever interested in doing a show on this topic, I will give you the same deal that I gave the high school, no charge :)

Is there a future for automotive technicians with EV’s? 🤔. Always wanted to become a tech but EVs making it seem scary as well as not having a passion to work on EVs as well.

There is a pretty bright future for techs in the EV space. You have obviously got to be good with electrical but there is a lot of opportunity and will continue to be even more. With that being said, there will be plenty of traditional internal combustion engine vehicles for many years. Manufacturers such as Toyota are going to more of a hybrid route than straight EV. Things will obviously change but loss of opportunity in the future.
