Cool video! Cool of your wife to go with you. Man over here in the States there really aren’t many stores like that left where you can just walk in and have instant access to hundreds of high end guitars and amps. What a joy for you to get do that!!!!!
The density of guitar goodness is mind boggling
Surprised no one in the store said "Hey! That's the guy who does all of those amazing Axe Fx videos!"
Oh yeah! In that “guitar street” I bought my Japanese Yngwie signature! That place is heaven!!!! Enjoy Japan Leon!
All the AMAZING food in Tokyo and you guys went to McDonald’s??? Nooooooooo! 🤦🏻♂️😂
I soooo must go guitar shopping the next time I'm in Japan!
This is a really cool video Leon. Never been to Japan. However I am aware that they really seem to enjoy guitar music. The thing is, all I could focus on was the track that was playing in the back ground. Man that sounds incredible like it could be a Ragdoll track or something? Guess we will have to wait and see!
Holy crap, Japan shops have some gear! I saw a JCM800 2203 and a 900 Sl-X as you just walked downstairs!
Crazy, crazy amounts of great stuff
She clearly loves you.. because that is pure patience on her part. :) Love the shots of Japan!
Bro, youre killing me with all that guitar porn over there! Being a lefty...in NZ no less, is pure hell. Im lucky to find one decent axe in our lame ass music shops. Have to special order everything. Enjoyed the vid...and you have a very patient mrs!
Awesome vid Leon. I have never seen so many guitars in a store. Looks like they carry everything unlike our stores here in the states. I'm a lefty like langsford music commented and we're lucky to find one lefty in a GC or Sam Ash and if we do it's a $200 fender. Special lady there! As you get older they stop going shopping with ya lol. Have fun and dig your channel!
Yeah the lefty scene in Aus is pretty average too :(
If I ever get to visit Japan, one of my main goals for the trip would be to try out as many vintage Grecos, Burnys, Orvilles etc. and return home with the best I could find.
You're going to love it if you do
That guitar store... holy crap
Funny! I‘ve been there aswell just about three weeks ago. Guitar haven! And yes, the food is awesome.
Absolute pornography...hahahaha!!! When I watch your vids, my asks if I'm watching guitar porn again!! That's hilarious!!
Great video Leon, hope you're having fun in Japan. Those guitar shops look awesome, like you said guitar porn!!!
Great video ! Saddly, Not that kind of stores in France :-(
Did you buy anything?
Cheers from Portugal 🍺🤘🇵🇹
Great video, did you see many MIJ Guitars that you would of liked? For Friday Q&A.
Take care mate.
Melbourne.
It seems like Japan has all of us made stuff, that dragon PRS was beautiful, how does their prices compare to Australia, and did you purchase a guitar in Japan.
That's excellent. My wife wouldn't step into a guitar shop with me. lol.
Anyone else feel like they just spent 10 minutes on the Teacup ride after watching this video? The only time the stopped moving (at warp speed) was at McDonalds.
I see you found the best Gibson shop in Shibuya (shortly before your maccas visit). IMO, better than all the shops in Ochinomazu, with the exception of the bigger stores like Guitar Planet & Big Boss. I'm a Gibson guy, so I may be just a little biased. :P
The Gibson selection there is unlike anything I've ever seen!
This popped up in my feed and had to watch again. It is like guitar porn 😂🤣🤟 Killer stuff. Would love to visit Japan and down under! Big Macs rock! My first one was at a cost of .65 cents! Now they are like 4.50 or something. Looks like loads of fun you two had. So cool..
best dude on the planet
Reminds me of the Sunset Strip in the 80's
Much nicer x'DDD
Let me say the following once again : super nice video Leon
Thanks for picking that up! We had such a fun time, would highly recommend.
Was the same gear any less expensive there than in Australia?
I bought a Mesa Mark iii last year from the shop at 1.00. Good times
Bucket list amp for me right there
@@LeonTodd it's a green stripe in what looks like new condition. Export transformers so easy to write for NZ mains. Love it! And it was bloody cheap! Carrying the damn thing to the airport was the only tough part
Gibson’s are cool and will always be...
Your wife is so cute! I nowadays don’t dare to enter a guitar shop. I already have 4 incomings and less and less space. +my wife... :D
Fractals on display?! wowwww
They were in every store I walked into too which was pretty impressive!
We just don't have stores like this over here.....that's awesome
I wonder, did those Big Macs have “Kobe” beef?
If she is like mine... she must have been super thrilled ;)
You coul get a Schecter Japan. They are very nice and not available in the rest of the world
I saw a few, very nice. I'm using Headway acoustics and STR electrics which are handmade in Japan and they're incredible.
What's the riff at 1:38? I know it but can't think of the song.
Me trying to remember the second verse of White Wedding, playing the Knaggs Steve Stevens.
At least you didn't take your guitar wife shopping... That's what I did.
Any J-craft customs laying around
I saw a few!
Your wife interests me. Is she single by any chance?
Awesome that they have fractal stuff there!
How are the guitars priced?
You have to do some searching to find the deals, but there's some great user stuff for cheap
Haha "nationalist bullshit"
It is quite jarring seeing how prosperous and peaceful Japan is and having these guys chanting about returning to the same ideology that they held during the era where they raped and pillaged south east asia and the pacific.
@@LeonTodd I gladly own my ignorance of the current political climate of Japan, or the content of what nonsense is being open air broadcast in that portion of the video. All I can say is, nationalism is most certainly bullshit.
Apparently they're a fringe group but they're very vocal and organised. Most people on the street simply ignored them which is the way to go IMO.
