  • This has been a silent battle I’ve been fighting all my life but it has peaked tremendously since the pandemic. This video started off as a “glow up w/ me” video but a series of unfortunate events happened in my life that made the video take a turn to focus more on my ocd. I want to make a series sharing my experience with the different types of ocd I face to help spread awareness and really get people to understand the illness because I feel we are often misunderstood. Also, to let others who also have ocd that they are not alone and we are walking through this battle together. Things will get better just give it time my love.
    ily.

This made me genuinly cry hearing you speak affirmations to yourself because it’s what I need to do but it’s so hard to get up and remind yourself you are in control.

When I was a child I believe I may have had ocd. I would wash my hands compulsively, wash my glass that I drank from compulsively and tap things three times. I remember I read an article about ocd and it scared the crap out of me and I didn't want my quirks to get worse so I made myself stop. I don't even think anyone knew I was doing things compulsively because I knew it was strange and hid it well. It's crazy how one day you're doing things to make yourself feel better and it turns into something that's not good. I know you can conquer this. I get it. But you just have to cold turkey stop. Wishing you the best. ❤

Hey! I'm sorry to hear that you got kicked out for whatever reason but glad to hear you're moved in with your dad. This video was actually really educational when it comes to the topic of OCD. I have a family friend that has OCD but he's more of the "everything needs to be perfect and in order" side of it. Seeing you live your life with it definitely made me rethink my view on it. Also, idk if you'll address this in part 2, but have you ever considered taking medication for it if you haven't already?
I love your videos regardless of the topic btw. Stay safe! 💕

ERP and medication really put a lot of hope in front of me for combating OCD. Sometimes, it’s still hard but there’s nothing else I would’ve rather tried.

you are not alone! i've been dealing with the same exact situations daily and it makes me wanna retreat to myself even more but then it'll only get worse. but we got this! we have good days and bad days and i believe that acknowledging that and not being so hard on yourself is a big part of the change ♡

literally got diagnosed the day you uploaded this and since then it’s flipped my life upside down to realize that i’m experiencing this everyday all hours of the day. we are so similar girl it’s freaking me out a bit why do we have the same bonnet, and water bottle lmaooo

Ya babe it’s definitely a challenge but I think it’s meant to teach us strength and to trust the logical mind. Cause the ocd mind tells u nothing but lies and we give in and it freaks us out but if we pause for a min, breathe, & listen to the tiny voice telling us everything’s gonna be okay it makes like so much easier. Trust yourself and know that ocd is a liar!!!! And purr about the bonnet and water bottle lol

I understand this im not diagnosed with ocd or any type of germphobia my family thinks im weird for sanitizing everything and washing my hands a lot when i know i its not sanitized and i don’t like being touched or hug it used to be worse when it started now i learn to work around it i dont touch anything like a door handle with out a paper towel i use to change my bed sheets everytime someone sat on my bed i freak out when someone sits on my bed or touch my things or sometimes even my food i also make sure my bedroom stays somewhat clean because I don’t like mess i overthink about it a lot
Dont feel like this is weird your not it actually makes u realize a lot of certain things are actually gross so don’t let anyone judge u for it i just ignore everyone

You are so strong, and I pray that God aids you and walks with you through your healing journey. I have Autism and I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder, so I used to avoid crowded areas in fear of looking stupid. Then the more I did some self searching and going to therapy and trusting God, I slowly gotten more confident. I’m at a good place than before, but I know the pain that you’re going though.
I’ll keep you in my prayers, amen ❤ Have a happy holidays ❤❤❤

Hope you have continued to be better and go against the ocd thoughts :) I also have ocd, very similar to the stuff you showed. Washing my hands like a surgeon boutta perform open heart surgery.
One advice I give you is, do not try to be logical. If you illogically thought to yourself, like you said, your sleeve touched the toilet. When it’s very unlikely that happened. Just tell yourself “so what.” “okay and”.
Because ocd IS illogical, as we all know. There’s no point in trying to reason, create logic, bc you’re going to question it regardless Lol. And trying to make yourself feel better that way just feeds into your ocd more. Bc youre giving your thoughts power to make you stop in your tracks and pause you. Not fighting it and just saying “so what.” Helps with keeping you in reality, reminding you how a normal person would react. It just wouldn’t matter. And it’s not gonna hurt you anyways. So who cares.
