He's overrated in my opinion. I use to like him a 7 years ago when he done covers. His songs aren't good though. He's not a good writer, all of his songs are mediocre lyrics and vocals. I think he can be better if he pushes more. But he's a male Ella mae. They can sing covers good, but they sing all of their own songs the same. Like his and all of her stuff songs the same. I know it's their voice, but you already know what the songs going to song like. They have no range at all for real, Effects make their voices.

Can we talk about his tone? Jacquees may not have the best writers/production but his tenor has a uniquely beautiful electrifying quality. It is obvious that he was nervous here but I must say I was impressed when I watched it live and come back to watch this performance often.

He's one of the only ones who actually makes true R&B, he also completely owned one of the bigger names in R&B on his Trip cover. He said 2016 to 2025. So no one should be writing him off.
