Every time I feel I'm not making any improvements in my riding on my Giant Reign, I get out for a couple of days on my Nukeproof Scout Hardtail. After a few days on the Hardtail, I find myself riding a bit better on the Full squish.
I respect your pure love of riding. Showing the community there's a time and trail, and thrill, for hard tails, full sus, ebikes, whatever your steed 🤘
Gonna watch this video before I go to sleep to hype myself up for tomorrows ride with a buddy. This way I can dream about going as fast as Jeff. These ride vlogs are great!
Bar-End near Dirt. Jeff, this video really shows how far down you lean your long bike to turn. Looks like your bar end is going to scrape the dirt. Got to trust those side knobs. Beautiful trail. Thanks for brining us along.

Nice little ride vlog. Makes me wish my season here in Norway wasn't over... Can we have a real thorough breakdown/review video from you on the Altitude vs. Ripmo 2? That would be sweet!
we hit most of what you did, we were up there last saturday! it was a blast. i liked bobs trail, dad bod, pollo (something) the one on the right by evolution, family time backward and 2 more couldnt remember ... have fun !
I think Strava helps to push riders to go faster and ignore others using the trail . They are focused on a cup ,pr or a kom and not there to say hi or acknowledge anyone else on the trail . Going from a full squish to a hardtail from time to time is not easy as you said you have to be more precise but it changes up a ride making a trail you ride allot new again . Nice ride Jeff
Such a good frame! I got the size up from from yours about a month before you built this up, same colour way. I admit I was slightly annoyed when you got it AND used the same tan seat as me... lol
@@JeffKendallWeed I'm surprised it works for DJ! I like it for enduro-ish riding (ie, non shuttled DH) because it's slick and I don't need a Chamois, but then I'm 183cm so it's not cumbersome for me on gnarly descents and allows for varied balance on the ups. I'm a hardtail tragic and Covid has ruined shuttling so its the perfect bike for me. Glad to see you shredding the HT!
It’s a great fork! It’s awesome on the FS bikes. I’m finding I really like the Trust Message on the Chromag- that combo works awesome. The 170 fork needs a bunch of damping to avoid drastic changes in ride height. But in the muck, a fender is the most important thing.
Hey Jeff, love the content. Can you help me? Live in Asheville, NC and bike Bent Creek and DuPont. Looking to replace my Stumpjumper. I have ordered a Ripley frame. Could I justify getting a Yeti SB130 also? Ripmo? Or just stick with one bike (Ripley)?
Great seeing you at raging yesterday. I was gonna head up to Galbraith and was wondering what your favorite trails are that I should ride. Have already ridden sst, bobs, Mohawk, unemployment and pumptrack. I am looking for a really good fast tech trail.
Would you say Galbraith has the highest per capita number of mtb youtubers of any mountain? Seems that way ;-) Can't wait for the boarder to open again so I can come down and ride there again :)
The drop to flat at the 4:40 mark...I cringed when I SAW the drop, and then again when you landed. That did NOT look fun on a HT! Advocacy, maintenance, and donations are the key to a healthy MTB community. I applaud you for continuing to foster advocacy. We have SO MANY people here who "just ride their bikes" and don't do anything for the trails. Sometimes I genuinely wonder if it wouldn't be a bad idea to one spring, just have an agreement that no one is going to lift a finger to clear trails. I'm talking no weed eating, no pruning, and don't even cut the fallen trees. Sometimes I feel like that might help the "I just ride my bike" crowd to understand the implication of NO ONE doing anything, and help raise awareness of the volunteer effort it takes to keep 120 miles of trail just in the Bentonville/Bella Vista area clear, and maybe then we would have a little more "buy in."
Hey Jeff. I've been working on my Stylus's fork (Lyrik) tune recently to try and keep it from bottoming out. I added two volume reducers (4 total now) and its a lot better but still bottoms out on big rolls over ledges. It is recovering faster but is there anything else I can try? Maybe stop rolling and huck lol? Trying to progress through Sedona's double blacks, I can handle a single drop but when there are several in a row it gets hairy.
Your riding skills are amazing. Your channel is def becoming one of my favorites! Question; are you running a mic even while during riding? If so, is it wireless?
Yeah, maybe they say 160 on their website, but I figure 170 is close to that. However, I’m finding I prefer the handling with the Message fork. The Z1 works awesome but the bike has some big geometry changes through the travel.
@@JeffKendallWeed the 27.5" chromag bikes are perfect for a mullet setup. Running a 120mm z2 on mine. Such a fun little trail bike now. Same geo as a 160mm 27.5 and no more sketchy feeling when the fork compresses.

Hey Max I have no experience with the CrankBros rims, but the I9 hubs are solid. I’d say if the price is right, go for it, you can always rebuild the wheelset around those hubs again should you ever need to!

How can you lean so much without losing traction? What tyres are those? Do you have a video which teaches how to corner like that?
