    I like the fact you analyze +15 positions, I always hated when a commentator would cut short with "and the rest is a matter of technique"

    I’m enjoying your new chessable course. I’ve struggled with other strategy courses on the platform so I really appreciate how straightforward and to the point it is.

    Whaow, what a joke for the unfortunate rook in the ending. I've rarely seen such cliffhanger in a game ^^

    After so many years, I couldn't find info when a pin in the opening is good or bad. I would really appreciate if you make a video on it because nobody ever did. Why not automatically pin the Knight to the Queen in every opening? What makes a pin impotent and what makes it powerful? Maybe a suggestion for your next chessable course.....

    When I watch these videos I can't help but wonder if "club level" is the worst insult you can throw at a chess player.

      Fair question, not sure how I could make it more euphemistic though:)

    8:22 it was only yesterday i was wondering about this concept of when a pin is good and when a pin is not. i do believe i do not properly understand the effectiveness of said pins and hence i dont understand when its not as effective... i also dont like it when my opponent gets to play pawn moves with tempo accelerating his attack on the flanks... i dont exactly know where to look inorder to try and grasp when pins are good and when they are bad... i also need to grasp how those pawn pushes can sometimes be weakening.
    i would like to suggest you to show a game(s) explaining pins to us beginners if you would be so kind
    love the content

    i have one question though: how do you assess what level someone is playing on? for me i have 2080 fide, 2200+ lichess in different time controls (2160 bullet, 2239 blitz, 2273 rapid ), but at times i feel like im playing way worse and at times way better.
    i played tournament last week, where i went 4,5/7, but i was playing blitz and rapid with other stronger palyers there and realized that there is no way im worse than them in all aspects of my game. so, I decided that : A. i need to check my opening reportoire, and swap out benoni for nimzoindian because at this point im learning how to play benoni and not chess, b : improve my endgame technique a bit and c: read a book or two on strategy in the middlegame.
    however do i find out which areas to work on? do i just go through my games and try to find out why i made certain mistakes? or is it better to get an opinion from someone else?

      @ChessCoachAndras  4 года назад +3

      Whoa that was way more than 1 question :) I judge what I see regularly recurring in a course of 10-15 games of the same time control. I think it is way easier to progress with a coach but it is not impossible to recognise and improve your weaknesses. Analysing your games is a great way to go, it just carries the risk of you drawing wrong conclusions and noone is there to correct them.

    • @ChessCoachAndras
      @ChessCoachAndras  4 года назад

      LOve the idea but f5, gxf5 followed by g4 can be met with Rg8. Maybe instant Qh5 after gxf5... , Not sure but I like ur agression. Nuts is good!

    Nice outfit 👍
    Btw I really wanted to know your thoughts on the pogchamps, Mr. Nakamura promoting chess like a super hero and some chess GM's malding/jealous over it, plus the Twitter war between Mr. Anish and Mr. Magnus. I'm sure you haven't talked about none of that, but it would be interesting for people to know your (IM Andras Toth the superb Coach) perspective. 😊

    I cant remember how many times i win the game when my opponent think this game will win it by them self 😊 i dont know why, but when im losing in opening i start playing good, and then i convert losing position in to a winning
