Reading Wuthering Heights while actually being in the Yorkshire moors must be such a fantastic feeling. It's one of my favorite books as well so that would kind of be a dream come true for me :) And I definitely agree that there are certain seasons and atmospheres that go with certain books. A lovely video :)

I can totally understand what you're saying regarding Netflix, iPads, films etc. When I was a child/teenager my days were filled with reading. I hardly watched TV, and other than music, that was the only distraction. I don't think, as an adult, I've really felt the same immersion in a book as I did when I was young. I think I'm going to try and make an effort to leave the tech in another room when I'm reading. Great video and book selection :)

I love hearing about people's experiences and memories when reading. It makes books feel even more special!

Until 4:36 I enjoyed what you said and definitely I agree on your comments of Northanger Abbey. But I didn't expect you to talk about Outlander at all - so I just became wildly enthusiastic and excited. Outlander is my all time favorite book and everytime someone talks about it it feels as if one is sharing a special friend haha!

This is a great idea for a tag! So interesting to hear about the associations you have with these books!! That's a particularly interesting story behind your reading of Mrs Dalloway!

    What a great tag :)
Everytime I watch someone doing this tag, it reminds me hanging out with a friend, or kind of the talk you have only with the closest friends.
Booktube is really awesome place :)

Wayward Reader I couldn't agree more! I think that is why I love the medium of RUclips so much as it feels like you are engaging in a dialogue with people and they almost become close friends to you.

I always have the same sentiment when it comes to bedtime reading. Even when I'm determined to read before bed, I arranged everything and I'm ready something always gets in my way. There's so many distractions these days and so little self-control.

Wonderful thoughts and thank you for sharing. You describing Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell as "near perfection" propelled me to quickly download it onto my Kindle! Thank you so much for the recommendation. I am fascinated how books can remind us of time and place.

I'm really nervous about doing this tag because all my personal relations to the books are so depressing! Lovely to see your answers Claire; hope you're well. X

      Oh no Choncey
don't feel nervous , I would love to see you do the tag. Tag videos for me are about the way questions apply to the person ,not making a video that fits nicely to a theme with well rounded answers that are entertaining (and thus not true ).

Arghhh so many of my own choices are similar or the same to yours!
I feel exactly the same about my bedtimes. It now takes a perfect book to make me totally forget the world, and I wish I could go back to childhood where this was a common occurence.

Belinda Gleeson I'm so glad others feel the same about bedtime reading! I want to make a fort using my duvet and explore the world within the pages of a book.
