Want to pop across the channel and get me organized? 😉 Since we moved during the pandemic, I have not gotten myself moving on sorting. I had to downsize from a farmhouse with a huge quilt studio to storing things in a bedroom and builtin cupboards in the living room. Just haven't found my way yet. Too busy crafting instead. This room of yours is an inspiration! 🧶🧵
Ha ha I could try! I do know exactly what you mean though, I think this is the first time I’ve really had this place in order since the pandemic too. Sorting can be quite hard to do I find! ❤️

Ahhh so tidy!! I try but… 😂😂🙄 I too have some of those old steel tiny crochet hooks that are family heirlooms - very useful for beading or pulling snags through on clothes too. I love that Lace and Fade Boxy ❤❤😊
Ha h yes it’s rare it’s this tidy to be fair. The idea of filming a tour spurred me on to tidy more. 🤣❤️

Hi Thanks for the craft room tour. I seem to organise the same way except I have more weaving wool - spinning felting yarn so for the Moth issue I have lavender sprinkled on out & inside of window openings & from Amazon I have used Pestigo moth trap cards which fold into tent shape and during the course of a summer with open windows I have moths lured and trapped the devils. Change them every spring. Jen from Snowdonia x

This was such a delight Sandra! And that boxy jumper looks so lovely on you! I can't wait to have amenities like water and a fridge or some kind of food storage in my studio. Basically anything that'll give me the excuse never to leave the studio if I wanted to. 😂 Not that I'll get the chance to get away with such behavior for many years to come.
Your boxes are absolutely brilliant and yicue organized everything to perfection my friend! For some bizarre reason that type of box is so difficult to find where we live and what you do find is so expensive it just can't be right. When I was living in New Zealand those boxes were just the easier thing to get at most big stores and even thrift stores. I got a real sense for the space you podcast from Sandra and thank you so much for taking time to take us through your sweet space. It's really very You if that means anything. 😄❤️❤️
Thank you so much! Ha ha, yes me and my husband have often joked about having more 'comfort' facilities up there! Sometimes it's a terrible commute back to the house, rainy days and so on. 😂 It is very easy to loose track of time when I'm pottering away up there for sure, especially on sewing days. It's not usually long before someone comes to visit though. Although with my daughter off to uni soon, I will probably start to miss the interruptions! Thank you for watching lovely Daki! ❤️❤️
The kind of chair gamers use are excellent for crochet/ embroidery/ sewing. Its first on my wishlist. The armrest and wheels make it easy to move into best light for craft in question. Also you can put a armrest table on it for sorting things.

I wish we had an IKEA here in Tasmania, looks fab!! Mind you I'd still be rubbish at organising anything into drawers and shelves! Yours is a true artist's studio, and so inspiring.
Are you ever tempted to "label"boxes and things? ( think retro Dymo labels😄) ...if you know where things are as well as you do, it may be superfluous really!

You are very welcome. Yes it’s a shame about IKEA as it is handy for this kind of thing. I do have some labels, but it’s in pencil so you probably can’t see them. You know what though, I do keep thinking about buying a Dymo label maker and I would so want the retro style too. I was actually thinking I would have nothing much to use it on and here is a brilliant use for it! Such a great idea, thank you!! 🙌❤️

What type of sewing machine do you have
I have a Janome 5120QDC. It's quite new as it was a Christmas present last year, but it is very lovely to use!

What a lovely room. I absolutely loved your storage furniture and boxes. I now have a glass conservatory where I have my sewing area and storage but it’s absolutely freezing out there in the winter as no insulation as all glass. Will be putting in air con for the summer! Definitely. Love the idea of the curtains for the glass cupboards. Will have a look at doing one for my cabinet in the sitting room. You are so organised and have definitely inspired me to do the same. Will see if IKEA have anything similar to those boxes you have as I know you said they don’t make them now. Always the way! I’m now off to go down the rabbit hole that is the IKEA website. Thank you for the tour. Love to Berts. Lesley x.

Thanks so much! Mostly just usual dusting routine, I find the hoover brush useful too. Although it doesn’t actually get very dusty up here at all. Maybe because it doesn’t see all the traffic that the main house does. 🤷♀️
