    You've done so much on the Ginny Cardigan. I remember all those different swatches in your other episode. It looks lovely! I haven't knit one of her patterns before but I do have several in my queue.

    It's lovely to see you again Sandra. I am always in awe of patience you have to make all of those tiny squares and weave in the ends. Your blanket is just beautiful.

    The Icelandic Jumper came out beautifully! I'll need to add some short rows to the bottom of a future sweater - I like how that looks.

      Ahh thanks! Yes it was definitely my first instinct and then I confused myself! Got there in the end though. It was so lovely to visit Boston. You live in a lovely part of the world. I wish we could have seen more of it, I’d love to go back some day. ❤️

    Whenever I’m not sure of the fabric or the gauge, I put it in wasteyarn and just block it midway. It has helped me out quite a few times! Also, brioche does block out quite a lot. So I think, just try and wash and block it where it is now and see where it lands. ❤

    • @CherryHeart
      @CherryHeart  29 дней назад

      Yes I wondered about that. It’s a good idea. I think my gauge is a bit off but would need to block to be sure. I will probably need to add a bit of length anyway as I usually do. I’m also thinking I might just ditch the pocket anyway. 🤔❤️❤️

    Watched this while working on a slightly modified version of the battenburg blanket (I'm working the squares together in columns of a single colour, joining as I go, and then I'm going to join the completed columns together to make a stripy blanket). I am obsessed with it! It's really nice to be working on it while catching up with the creator, and you've got some lovely projects and yarn you're showing here. Thank you for sharing! 😄

    It will end up so beautiful... My mother crocheted some for the top of my dresser. And all the bedroom dressers. It reminds me of those. Love all the pretty things you make. Is that a 3 mm size yarn?the jumper is fabulous. And pink would be more complimentary on you.😊

    Great projects. I always find that choosing from the heart keeps me motivated to finish whereas choosing from the head just doesn’t have the same anticipation. Example: For my niece’s birthday last year I knitted the Dotty Cardigan in bulky pink. It was a total surprise and she loved it and I loved putting it all together. She has asked for another one…in black! And…make it shorter with an uneven hem (longer in the back than front). I love the challenge of modifying the pattern but to knit in black…ugh. 😬

    • @CherryHeart
      @CherryHeart  24 дня назад

      Oh yes, that is soo true! I’ve had similar experiences and making with colours I didn’t choose I always find hard. Although, black is certainly another level, it’s a real eye work out!! 🤦‍♀️❤️

    I was just rewatching 146. You've inspired me to make a granny water bottle holder and a cell phone case (in the style of your sunglasses case.)
    Your sweater looks lovely. How's Icelandic yarn feel? I can't bear (bare?) Itchy wool.

    • @CherryHeart
      @CherryHeart  29 дней назад

      Oh that’s a nice idea for the water bottle holder. The Icelandic wool is pretty itchy to be honest!! I’m not good with itchy wool either so a bit of a made idea on my part to make it with this wool. It’s a bit softer after blocking but definitely only to be worn over a long sleeve top for me! 🤣
