Hi Hema, a week ago I prepared huli pudi as per your measurements and prepared southe huli according to your method it came out very well, and 2nd time as I ran out of coconut I prepared huli with a small variation instead of grinding huli pudi with coconut, i put huli pudi Directly on boiling dal and vegetables along with coconut milk (using coconut milk powder) that too turned out really well. Thank you for your wonderful recipe. And i blindly trust your recipe soo much that for the first time itself i prepared huli pudi in doubled quantity.😊 I do have request can you please share us the recipe for mudduli pudi with a good shelf life?.

And one of the most different recipe I have tried is seeme badane Kai huli. That's something which is very different from the regular huli we prepare. Your chutney Pudi is one of the most frequently prepared item in our home. My parents liked it so much whenever I visit them they ask me to prepare a batch of chutney Pudi in doubled quantity. i really can't thank you enough for sharing the traditional recipes. Please keep bringing more and more traditional recipes....and I'll be trying and commenting 😁.

Hi, i would like to include dry copra in the sambar powder instead of using fresh coconut everyday. Please tell me how much should I add. Should I make changes in other ingredients?
I never tried, hence it is difficult to say. You can try adding 1 & 1/2 cups of grated and slightly roasted dry coconut and add a few more chillies. I feel no need to change the other ingredients. When we grind with fresh coconut the masala will become slight bland. Hope this helps.
Ma’am one doubt - should we roast the chilli and curry leaves for 10-15 mints. Some others do it for less time. Also can we use Kashmiri red chilli in place of byadagi chilli? If so how much? Thanks a lot for sharing this. It is very useful! :)
Yes, it takes at least 10 minutes to roast the chillies in low to medium flame. It depends on the heat, if you roast in low flame it takes more time. Also depends on the chillies you use. Never tried with Kashmiri red chillies. They say it is not spicy as Byadagi. So you can add little more than mentioned in the video. Hope this helps.

If you want large quantity, if all the ingredients are roasted without oil, it'll stay fresh for a long time. If fried with oil, within a few days you get stale oil smell
It will be dry without oil. So I usually prepare the quantity as I showed in the video. That also last long for 3-4 months. If you prepare in large quantity and kept for long, the taste will suffer and freshness will not be there in Chutney Powder. May be many asked me in comments about this keeping it for long. But I prefer less quantity.

Can we make this without oil
Yes. You can make without oil. But adding little oil will not make it dry.
This measurement used, come for how many days mam ?
You can keep for upto 2-3 months. If you use 2 Tbsp while preparing Huli, you can end up this Huli Puri for 10-12 times.
Mam pl tell chilli measuremnt in cup
25-30 chillies may come around 2 cups.
