Abyss was easily one of my favorites in TNA. Used to annoy the crap out of me when surface level viewers just dismissed him as a Kane/Mankind ripoff. He was so good back in the day.

Agreed. And I remember meeting him at 1PW when I was a kid. Outside of the show, he was really nice, and even let me hold the championship title when we had our picture taken. I've got nothing but respect for him as a hardcore wrestler too, because he put his body on the line in some really brutal matches. Whether it's falling on his own drawing pins or getting dollar bills stapled to his head.

@@elijahhill6602 it is frightening I'm not sure let me know your thoughts but I have a feeling the pause at the end while frightening might cause less pain but when he runs forward into them grabs the opponent spins and drops can be cringing because sometimes the opponents land high on their neck and shoulders
I absolutely Loved Abyss back in his Prime. The theme, his gimmick, the fact that he was all about weapon's and taking huge bumps. It was barbaric and just straight up dope! He was also a superb performer. Just an over all super cool guy! I've ways wanted to see a legitimate match up between him, specifically late 90's Mick Foley (not the older Mick he had a match with in TNA), of course Kane, Undertaker, Boogeyman, etc... Hell, just throw him in a big ass Cage with every other monster, and let them go at it with all sorts of weapon's. But i'm content with what we got regardless. I'm sure i'm not the first to say this.
there was nothing more about abyss that ever needed to be said other than his nickname, "the monster". No adjective, no modifier, he was THE monster and it's as simple as that.
@@BootsMacD He was even on-screen a few times in 2020 with his old buddy AJ Styles, if you remember his feud with Jeff Hardy. But at 48, I highly doubt the monster Abyss will have a match in WWE.

Okay, so I just started wrestling in the indies, and my first opponent, guy went by Malachi, hit me with a Black Hole Slam, and I assure you, it hurts as much as you think it does, and then some.
