FILM DESCRIPTION:
Mass murderer Jason Voorhees (Kane Hodder) is resurrected from the bottom of Crystal Lake. After he kills a passing boat's occupants, he stows away on a cruise ship filled with a high-school graduating class bound for New York City. Biology teacher Charles McCulloch (Peter Mark Richman) is on board with his niece, Rennie (Jensen Daggett), who has visions of Jason drowning as a child. They escape his bloody shipboard rampage, but, when Rennie and Charles reach Manhattan, Jason is close by.

Interesting fact on this film was that Jason was suppose to kick a dog instead of the radio, but the Actor who played Jason refused, saying not even Jason is that bad to kick a dog.
Jason: im a monster, but not that type of monster.
His reasoning was that Jason hated people, not animals. No reason to kill the pooch. Only time Jason ever harmed an animal was in part 2 because Jason still had to eat back then.

Jason was oddly really polite in this scene. Not going on a mass murdering trip and only knocking a radio, breaking a wall kool-aid man style, and throwing one guy into a mirror without killing them. No unnecessary casualties

This is what sets Jason apart from any other slasher for me; his self-awareness
He has emotions besides “I WANT TO KILL”, he gets surprised by his surrounds, he gets annoyed as evidenced by the kids.
But the jewel of this scene is when he takes off his mask, as if to say: “yeah, I know I’m ugly, but I’ll make you uglier”
He just has so many subtleties that set him apart from someone like Michael Myers
True but the reason is micheal is so scary is becasue he's human so you expect him to do human things so when he gets shot you assume be dead but no he gets up like it's nothing

Killing those kids in public would have attracted the attention of the cops who if armed with enough firepower could potentially put him out of commission for a while as we witnessed in the opening scene of "Jason Goes To Hell".
