Jackson Bite Kayak seat clip V2 does not work

Firstly, this is not a bash video. The Jackson Bite kayak is one the best kayaks out there in my opinion. I lost a seat clip, so I ordered these. As you'll see in the video I tried each and every way possible, including the instructions they gave me in an email, and they just don't work. Off camera, I tried using one new fastener and one old one, but that won't work either. Hopefully this will help them to fix this issue, and it might help someone researching this particular piece. No hard feelings towards the great people at Jackson Kayak. As always, thanks for watching!!!

The one way it does fit, the pieces are facing backwards. That's how I know it's not the intended way.
I just shove a piece of folded up yoga mat on the other side to keep it level. I don't want to pay $16 shipping for $25 of parts.

But I feel your pain on hardware wearing out. But you dont have the salt to deal with... I think you could copy the original ones better jerryrigin at Home depot dude..you got your money out of that thing fosho tho
Oh dude I love this kayak. I stay in it. I sit on TOP of the water. 😂 Yeah the salt would be rough. I'm going to just keep using one seat fastener. 🤷♂️
Did you see how easy the old ones are to use? Man I just want another one of those. Lol 😂
@@CarolinaBassHunter cut a 2in peice of PVC half inch, then cut it vertically in half with a hacksaw and screw it to something to mount....DIY doggie👍
@@lonesomeknoteye that just might work. I thought about just cutting this in half, but I'll probably just keep using one.
