Pantaleo really suffered from not being able to do anything with his turn on top. When you have a six point deficit to make up, hitting blast doubles and then cutting the other guy loose isn't going to be enough. Nolf on the other hand is the complete package. He can hit takedowns, come out on top in the scramble, escape off the bottom and score big points on the mat. You can't take him out of his comfort zone because he's comfortable everywhere. Awesome athlete.
Great match, these Michigan boys brought it. I'm not a PS fan and you always here about Bo and Cenzo but Nolf is freaking special. On a team full of special athletes Nolf impresses me the most. I watched a re-run of Cael vs DC in the NCAA final the other day and just thought about how Jon Smith (Nolf reminds of Smith), Bobby Douglas, DC, Cael, and Gable on commentary there were so many GOATS in one building (I'm a big MMA fan and DC is my #1) and I feel the same watching this PSU crew and I'm not even a PSU fan, such a treat watching these guys. PSU has some cry baby fans though lol.
If there was any 157 guy who could beat Nolf this year(there isn't) it would be Pantaleo. He has the speed and power with that double that is hard to stop. If Pantaleo doesn't get turned this was very close to being a 6-4 match. Don't get me wrong Nolf will probably major Pantaleo if they wrestle again, just saying nobody else at 57 has any real shot of scoring on Nolf other than Pantaleos double leg
I'm not gonna go back and count but I think Pantaleo might have taken more shots than Nolf yet of course you have the Penn state fans complaining about stalling

Pantaleo-froze thinking "oh I got a shot in... Ima try the new mo-"
Nolf-"crotch lock engage"
Did better than Berger😫
I love you Jason nolf
Sammy Watkins he's incredible wrestler
anyone else here someone yell stalling as soon as the match starts?
Quickness. Strength. Technique. They are both incredible. But Nolf is just outerworldy...
Nolf is the Lomachenko of Wrestling. Footwork keeps people outa sync.
Great

One of the best parts of this dual was Ken's commentary!

And that's why I always felt Zain didn't deserve two Hodge because I always thought Nolf & Nickal were a notch better.....
Norrin Radd Felt more like a respect thing. I agree.
Huh? As in deserved both Hodge trophies.
