In this video i show you the quickest, cheapest way to clean and burnish leather edges to leave your edge clean and smooth like a single piece of leather
Great tips. Thanks for the help. I only started leatherworking a couple years ago. I have never tried to really give my leather products a finished look, because they were just for me. So this is all new to me. Thank you.
Regarding your last statement of testing new products. I have two options to bushish the edges of my leather with. Matexin wax ( normally used for waterproofing oilcloth) and standard candle wax. Well... beyond that i have chaimberlain leather milk... but i dont think that is waxy enough for the job. So do you think candle wax would be my best option?
Thank you for the video and advice! Burnishing seems to be the most difficult for me. Making the separate layers blend into one is an art that I have yet to conquer. I bought a "dremel" knockoff from Harbor freight that almost immediately got stuck on the highets rpm setting. Now, I can only drill and smoke leather. I'll try one of these, now. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for this, just beginning. I don't know if I got a cheap set of tips or what ? Wrong wood ? Seems like the tip is taking the edge paint off, even if I go lightly and quick.
