I like your attitude. I’m sure you’re exhausted from all the on-call trauma cases, but you are still excited about medicine and helping patients.
Thanks Phillip!
I LIKE YOUR ATTITUDE TOO!
Dr. Webb, really appreciate this style of video demonstrating the workload and variety of cases. It's also great that you go into details about a handful of cases. Please keep up the great work!
Dr. Webb, could you have imagined this life 20 years ago?
No i couldnt have
bottleham
😐
why do a spine surgeon do another fracture operation like general orthopedic ?
Dr. Webb, you are the greatest. I am an US Army retiree, 65 year old male, 6ft 4in, 219 pounds and active. For over 30 years I suffered right shoulder pain, unknown to me it was because of a bad disk at C4-5. Now I have cervical myelopathy. So, on September 12, 2023, I had an ACDF-2 at C4-5 and C3-4. Now I am recovering from surgery and watching your videos of your work. I very much appreciate your videos. Please continue to post all videos of your work. Your videos have helped me immensely to understand my surgery. Thank you.
Oddly calming video for medical education 😭😭😭
It's so relaxing to listen to and still exciting to learn and see how the cases worked out , good job!!
super informative stuff, Dr. Webb. Really appreciate you taking the time to present these cases!
Loved this video Dr. Web!! Very interesting. Appreciate all the work put into the video
This was so educational thank you !
Fascinating video! I’m extremely impressed that you can do all this vast array of surgeries, in addition to spine surgeries! Also liked your very well annotated slides and diagrams. Cheers!
Very cool! Hope all the patients have good outcomes!
Thanks for sharing your week of work schedule with us Doc. Not very many doctors want to share there their daily routine with others. Looking forward to seeing more. From Indiana.
Really great video. Like seeing what the trauma call is like. Thanks Dr. Webb
Orthopedic surgeon and successful RUclips. You’re something.
New to the channel and really like your excellence and dedication to the surgical trade. My brother in law is an Ortho Surgeon in Ky. I see and can appreciate your expertise. God speed moving forward!
I love how you are really demonstrating the very very unique procedures which you get to do after years and years and years of training. It's a fantastic and apprachable window into your work and is inspiring for someone who may think to themselves "this is so cool. I want to do THAT one day". Than you again for sharing your work and yourself with us.
Thank you! 🙏🏾

Occupational Therapy educator here! Love this video! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and gifts!
Thank you!
I think this is the best kind of videos you could ever upload, i wish if there s a way you can publish the exact same cases and postop xrays without using similar examples from the internet (maybe like take patients consent to publish their imagery or something) and also talk about the indications, approaches, pros and cons.. etc
Oh sir... I hope one day I can achieve my dreams in the medical field! Watching this kind of videos just keeps me going!
This excellent cases show their great professional training and great medical team to improve human health.
Love how informative this video was thank you
Thank you!!
used to work as an x-ray tech, its cool to see all this familiar hardware in detail that i've previously only seen in x-ray images

Bravo Zulu Dr. Webb! Semper Fi and Can Do Keep going OORAH
Dr Webb- I worked as an RN on ortho/neuro unit 1989 to 1999 (were you born?). Your vid, descriptions & intraoperative views brought me back! Glad I found you
Hi Dr Webb- I met Dr Pablo on New Years. I love watching your videos.
Really enjoy this type of video, the teaching content with the imagery.
Thanks!!
Wow! Watching you do that partial hip replacement gave me the heebie jeebies! I had a total hip replacement and I have a full stem into my femur. I didn’t know all the cleaning out and hammering that goes on. No wonder it hurts so much! Nice work, though!
You people are amazing,!!!
Very educational and overall amazing video!
Keep posting videos like this!
Thanks Ivan!
Keep em coming, wanna see more trauma cases when you do em

I did! I went straight to Jamaica 2 days after my week of call ended 😃
@@antoniowebbmd LOL!! I'm glad!😂😂
Dang Dr you looked so calm. Like a day at home depot working on project with your dewalt drill. 🤣😂 That's so awesome what you do.
😂😂😂😂
More please! Very interesting!
How does the robot establish where to drill and so forth?
I loved it!
Love the video, I’m a first year medical student considering orthopedic surgery and this video format is very helpful to determine if it is a good fit and to get some exposure to the field.
Fantastic!
hey Dr, as a current m1 you are a huge inspiration to me and I hope to be like you one day!!

Dr webb have you imagined yourself in this heroic and noble position 5-10 years ago??
Yeah these are the type of videos I like ✊🏿✊🏿👍🏿
Thank you!!
Great video. Keep doing this type of video. Get some rest after being OnCall
When I was in dental school we had an oral surgery rotation. A guy presented that had an extraoral fixation device for a fractured mandible. At first no one in the clinic knew why he was there because the fixation device was covered by the patient’s beard and couldn’t be seen. Turns out he had the treatment a few years prior and just never came back. Not sure why he decided to return at that time, but I’m glad I was there when he showed up.
Excellent. 👏
Thank you!
Knowing he is from Shreveport warms my heart.
Appreciate it 👊🏾 #318
Thank you for another interesting and educational video! I'm curious if one of the "lif's" you showed was also called an xlif, I know it is approached from the side too. I was just wondering if that's like a trade marked name for one of the others. Thanks!
Thank you for the video. I was just wondering, what were there considerations for (not) doing a fasciotomy for the patient with the tibiaplateau fracture? Would love to know the thoughts behind it:)
20:25 great sound effects Dr. Webb 😂
😂😂😂
19 in one week, you’re an all star.
Very informative and interesting …
Thanks!!
Show your gratitude to surgical tech, Spd tech. I know how doctors think they are not important.
More strength Sir.. Your are Ben Carson two
have you watched the bleeding edge on Netflix? do you think cobalt chrome joints can cause poisoning to patients? very much enjoyed this video btw thank you
Since explanations of the various fracture types and treatment options.
Dr. Jamie gotleib did my spinal fusion when he lived up here in indiana. Now dr gotleib lives in san Antonio Texas where he's from.
guess ill be proud of myself for seeing the femoral neck fracture within a second or two of seeing the xray. (not a med student or healthcare worker in general)
How are you awake after all those surgeries?! One Love
Chiro Student here. These videos are very well done and super informative. Sometimes these conditions will even walk through our doors at which point we refer them out to guys like you. It's really great to see the rest of the diagnosis and patient care story. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Tyler!
lmfao
Chiros don't refer them out, they ignore them, tell them that chiro can magically fix anything (Or just tell them that their REAL problem is magical subluxations), and then proceed to pop away regardless. 99% of chiros do this, regardless of whatever they are telling you in school.
@@rdizzy1 that's most definitely a generalization and I know MANY who practice the way you described. It is frustrating and embarrassing to the entire field. However, we are absolutely trained to work these patients up with physical exam/history/x-ray and send them out. I'm often discouraged about the field due to widespread incompetence/negligence.
@@tylerbeck3806 I'm really not even saying that they do not follow the exam/history/x-ray path, they frequently do, but then they proceed to ignore all that information anyway. You should have went into a more science based but similar medical field like PT.
Question, when you put the long stabilizing metal cephalomedullary rod in, what happens to the marrow of the bone? @Antonio J. Webb, M.D.
I want more
Hi Dr. Webb. Do you prefer the posterior or anterior approach for hip arthroplasty?
I'll be needing spinel surgery on mine once I loose enough weight for the doctor to fix mine properly the first time
Wooow one must have a steel heart and lot of experience to be able to do this! I can never 😂😂
Yes I am so terrified of having surgery but I live in so much pain and I do not have to have full help placement I do have problems with my neck and I also have problems with my back so with these things I'm going to have to have surgery with all these injuries and I am terrified because I have no one there for me doing the surgery 🙏🏾😢
Great
Is there any concern for compartment syndrome with your second case? Do the fracture blisters not relieve swelling adequately enough?
what happens if you feel to sleep deprived you start to make mistakes in surgery cause your brain is so exhausted? what do you do when your brian is to exhausted? Do you just have to really focus in and triple check your self while you are doing surgeries?
Hey doc is there anyway I can send you my X-rays and ct scans to do a explanation on why they did what they did? C5-7 fusion fractured c6
Was this my brother law the hip replacement on his right hip? HE had beforehand to 12 20th of 2010
Impressive
Thanks Brenda!!
Felt happy after seeing you doing trauma as only doing spine, scopy or plasty becomes sometimes boring
Thanks!!
That looks so scary!!
Does the rod affect the bone marrow?
Crazy 19 surgery’s In one week
Why do you need to do oncall at a hospital if you're in private practice? Is it a voluntary thing you do to earn a side check as well? Hope this doesn't sound rude but it's just not as common in my country 😅
so even though you're a spine surgeon, you still do stuff like hip replacement? pretty interesting. Thanks for sharing
I believe he is an orthopedic surgeon and likely did some type of fellowship or extra training to work on the spine. However, I'm sure there are certain spine procedures that he would leave to the neurosurgeon.
Right hip X-ray ?
How tf are u supposed to see the fracture from the first guy? Thats incredible
What type of images equipment are you using on the spine? It looks like an CT image that's portable. Special c-arm or whatever?
Intra operative CT scan and robot
It’s beautiful 😂
@@antoniowebbmd That was amazing. I can't stand the blood and overall grossness, but you are passionate and it's great to see. I'll stick to working with computers though!
I can see how burnout happens so fast
