Disneyland Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters ride POV

- This is an HD POV of Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters at Disneyland, California!
The space the ride takes up was first occupied by the Circle-Vision 360° theater. The space was transformed in 1997 when Tomorrowland received a major makeover, and the Circle-Vision theater became part of the queue line for the infamous Rocket Rods. The Rocket Rods were prone to breakdowns, and ran from 1998 to 2000. After closing, the queue line stood empty for several years until AstroBlasters opened in 2005. AstroBlasters occupies the space formerly used by the Rocket Rods' queue. Zurg's machine is actually taken from the Walt Disney World version, only half-destroyed, implying that this version is actually a sequel to the original.

The nostalgia is insane I miss this so much.
One of the best things about this ride is the awful, low resolution photos they take in the ride. I... love them. They look so poor and need refurbishment, but at the same time it gives the ride such an old charm to it. I miss this ride so much.
People don't give this ride enough credit !! ❤️

I appreciate you guys/gals for making these videos. I'm going to Disneyland next weekend (my first time in almost 20 years) so I have an idea of what rides I want to go on besides the obvious ones (hyperspace mountain, big thunder railroad...etc) thanks again. This looks really fun.
I like the part where you hear an instrumental version of Randy Newman's "Strange Things", which played in a certain scene in the original Toy Story
(I'm talking about 3:49. It's instrumental and slightly remixed, but you can still sing the lyrics to "Strange Things" by Randy Newman)
Man time can really ruin memory, I guess it's because the first time I rode. This I was like, 2 so I don't really remember much. Granted, I have never gone a 2nd time to Disney World, and now I am 12, so the last time I saw that ride was ten years ago... I thought multiple Zurgs popped up and you had to shoot them down as you passed by. BOY WAS I WRONG!
I love this ride! I kept losing to my brother tho. But the ride is still amazing.

I really enjoyed this ride :) lots of fun line was pretty long (only problem for waiting was the two kids behind me throwing a huge tantrum for no reason :P) great ride for anyone whose a huge buzz lightyear fan
Zurg is the worst strategist EVER. He contacted Star Command in the beginning of the ride and told them he was securing power for his 'secret weapon'

It’s nice because I don’t have to get on the rides myself, I went to Disneyland so many times in the past decade that I grew sick and tired of it, watching these videos helps me see the rides I love without waiting for the bullshit super long lines, thanks!

I love this ride so much, I miss Disnyeland.
I’m glad that you 💕 the attraction. Everyone misses Disneyland not just you. It’s so sad that COVID-19 has entered the picture which affects everyone’s vacations to theme parks everywhere. I don’t know you well, but I wonder if you recognized me and my parents when I wore many different Disney themed headgear while I pretended to be different personas (e.g. 🏴☠️ 👸🏻 Minnie, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice or a 🧙🏻♂️ named Mickey, Disney 👸🏻 Minnie, Halloween Party hostess Minnie and 60th Anniversary Parade leader Minnie, etc.)

I love this rude to death it's the best ever and I even got zurg with my blaster I was my abusive family back then and I'm like yeah I got him haha. I will always love this ride. Special place in my heart. Number one ride always. 😊

Hi Joshy! Yes you are correct! Sometimes in Disneyland Paris, the projected face sometimes malfunctions and then it restarts with the LG logo. I'm guessing all the faces except Orlando don't project it.

My top 3 rides/attractions at Disneyland are Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin, The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh and Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters! :) The one disappointing thing for me is that I with some attempts tried to go to Disneyland but thanks to personal stuff in my life and issues with family members, I was not able to. It is now 2020 and we have COVID-19 on our hands! Who knows when I will or any of us will have the opportunity to go this theme park again or for the first time. :(

Funny I've gone to disneyland so often that 2 weeks feels like a eternity. But at the same time it gets boring if you go like once a week.
Disneyland really does need to recalibrate the guns for this.
