Supertramp is so underrated
Are they??! They're up there with some of the best!! School is cool!!! The song I mean. Lol😅👍
Supertramp is criminally underrated
Just as Steely Dan
30 years ago, not.
My dear friend
Very big in Europe then and now. Not for me
Hands down my go-to channel to learn all of my favorite songs. Thanks Marty!
Such a good choice and song. Supertramp are one of my favorite bands of all time as I used to listen to them when I was little.. my parents had the 'Breakfast In America' record and I wore it out when I was 12 years old. Unreal songwriters.. I went to the Pacific Amphitheater a few years ago to see Roger Hodgson and he was UNREAL. I took my son. Those songs are in my DNA and I'm not ashamed to admit that I got emotional when I heard him play "Lord Is It Mine." He was such a gracious man onstage.. talking with the crowd.. A concert I won't forget..
Marty is the ultimate uncle
Marty can I just say you were the one who inspired me to pick up the guitar and start playing. Every time someone asks me how I started playing. I say “a great man Marty Schwartz taught me, you should check him out”. Thanks man really appreciate it. ❤️❤️❤️
I Second you Statement.. Marty inspired my husband to don't he same ..
Nicely done. I have learned quite a bit from Marty myself.
Same. Thanks a bunch Marty. Hope you get rich doing this.
Truly appreciate the way you start your videos by playing a sample of what the song will actually sound like. Even for well-known songs such as this, it is inspiring, establishes our destination, and is a helpful reminder in case we may not remember it well.
YES. Because the guitar by itself will often sound different from the full band studio production.
Far too many youtube guitar lessons omit this important bit.
OMG my grandmother bought me this CD for my tenth birthday and I didn't even know what the hell it was and when I first listened to it I LOVED it
Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU, anytime I get discouraged I go to Marty, these video's have helped so much.
A simple, yet timeless tune! Cheers for a great and powerful lesson!
This one of those songs I heard when I was like 7 that never stopped being a bop.
Marty you are the best guitar instructor on the internet hands down. Just about every song that I want to learn you covered it already and uploaded it into your archives of lesson tutorials. I love your channel ❤️
This is a great lesson of an absolutely fantastic song. Marty, as always, thank you so much for creating such great lessons! I've learned SO much from you over the past 2 years that I've been following you.
Amazing tutorial as always Marty! And a perfect song choice too, so we can all learn to give a little bit of love and do something nice for another person everyday! Thank you for this tutorial! :D

Solid instruction; easy to follow along; much thanks!!
Beautiful. Simple but very beautiful. Didn’t realize there were that many different chord textures in this song. Thanks 👍
I recently started teaching my 14yr old daughter to play. These classics using open chords have made amazing practice material!! Thanks Marty!! Fun for me too!!
Thank you so much for this song, i saw them in 1979 in Fort Worth TX. i have learned how to play so many songs from you for years.

Good lesson man!!! you do the best tutorials!!
Você é um grande professor, cara! You're a great teacher, buddy.
I do an F# bar chord with a ring and pinkie hammer-on at the saxophone instrumental. Gives it that flavor.
Wonderful lesson, great song, thanks
Thanks Marty, it's another great tutorial, the best on the net. You rock my learning days.
Hey Marty, thank you for the Give A Little Bit guitar lesson. Really appreciated!!!
That was a terrific lesson - thanks!
Keep up the good work I’ve learnt everything from you!
As always, you gave a great lesson, thanks Marty!
Marty, always enjoy your lessons. But this one is a favorite. I have been a Supertramp fan since way before this song was new! They are, after all, primarily a piano band. This is one of their best guitar led songs.
Well done Marty, thank you. More Super Tramp please.
I love you. Thank you for All teaching songs. Best greets from germany 🙂🎸
Thanks for lesson Marty!
Thanks Marty - Marty is a double inspiration. Not only does he do an excellent job with his teaching, but he has normal hands. I've noticed many of the other guitar channels have guys with long skinny mutant fingers.
Check out Buckethead. his fingers are insane.
Thanks again, another great 'review for comebacks' one! Brings back 'middle school' memories too, 8th grade and the 'platinum blonde' in study hall regretting sending those 'mixed signals' in 6th & 7th grades that the redhead at the beach over the summer wasn't sending. As I'm getting more serious about learning guitar, and about to start The Ward, I'm 'in a relationship' with someone else until '81. I ended up dating the platinum blonde for one semester in the college years though. As far as the 'comeback trail' of practice is going, I'll be adding more 'finger exercises' into the sessions and still planning on adding 'combined lead vocals' and rhythm guitar' to future sessions. First, adding a vocal mic boom to the 'recording to evaluate progress' setup, but it's 'in transit' for now.
Thanks for the 👍! My surgeon also plays guitar and is a huge Steve Vai fan, so he recommended the 'Path to Virtuoso Enlightenment' exercises as an at-home substitute for optional physical therapy sessions. Being visually impaired renders me unable to drive, so appointments and wait times other than for those directly related to the surgery itself were minimized for optimal logistics. I noticed inconsistency with pinky hammer-on accuracy (a mix of correct hammer-on and incorrect barre-like results, especially on B & e strings) and it seems that more exercise is needed.
Just awesome, really really good!
Awesome man. Thanks for the chords Martie. 💙👍
Awesome lesson. Thank you 👍🏻
Great tune. Instantly recognizable. I dont understand how anyone can thumbs down Marty's lessons. Let the haters hate. Keep on rocking Marty!!!
Thank you, I love this song!
