"We cannot say we support Ukraine BUT, because Putin only hears the but"
Damn. Bullseye.
Is Europe responsible for protecting Ukraine?! Even at the cost of expanding the war to the Europe itself?!
@@1mnyenaphar727 Protecting Ukraine is Protecting Europe. It is in our interest.
@@albevanhanoy Great, so when are you planning to be drafted for war?
@@1mnyenaphar727 We protect the EU in Ukraine. We need to stop putin.
@@1mnyenaphar727 Yes, Europe is responsible for protecting Europe.
Like albevanoy has stated "Protecting Ukraine is Protecting Europe. It is in our interest." both are interchangable, not seperate.
Ukraine = in Europe, Ukraine = part of the European continent /peninsula, Europe = at war, through proxy siding with the Ukrainians against Russia.
Let me go even further. Europe should have intervened in 2014 when Crimea was invaded.
Europe should have intervened in 2008 when Abkhazia and South-Ossetia were invaded.
The only murky part due to my lack of knowledge on the topic is whether Europe should have intervened or not in the 1990s to let Chechnya be an independent country instead of it being just annexed by Putin, spoiler alert: In our reality they did not.
But at the bare bone minimum, Europe should have intervened starting 2008!
This is not just a Ukrainian war as Ukraine is in Europe, this is a war on European soil, a European war.
We should protect Ukraine, we already are too late and way overdue which pisses me the hell off.
So stop smoking those blunts and come back to Europe.
Europe is at war and we need to do everything to protect ourselves.
The single most important thing they want to chance, the abolishment of the veto system, is basically the decisive reason to vote for renew Europe🇪🇺
Lost of the people last defense.
@@janchi_stephanchi Supermarority is better than veto in my opinion. The fact that 1 country can hold the others hostage needs to go. It should be someting like atleast 75% (instead of 55%) of the countries representing atleast 80% (instead of 65%) of the population. This would be a great step up from veto (The rule from qualified majority voting: "blocking minority must include at least four Council members" should also stay in place)
@@janchi_stephanchi we need a confederation. Each state should be free to do what he wants as long as it does not endanger the exostence of other states.
@@Darian___ 80% of population might still not work. To stop something you would need 20% which is 90 million. This means that to use veto any combination of 6 countries would always need Poland, Spain, Italy, France or Germany. This comes with huge risks to small countries, is it worth it, just because Hungary overuses veto?
@@janchi_stephanchi i didn't actually do the math but what would you propose instead? What if one would propose that a bill passes as long no more than 20% or 25% of countries vote against? And just drop the other requirement?
As long term liberal leaning voter i will say a bit unpopular opinion - migration will again play a massive role in EU elections. And i hate to say it, but the longer security state in western europe/countries with high migration rate will deteoriate and integration of people from problematic cultures will continue, we are giving a free ammo to right-wing nationalists/populists. If i will have to choose between saving the EU in its full member states ammount and letting everyone from Afghanistan, Syria or Pakistan into EU, i would prefer saving the EU and our liberal values. As long as nationalists will have this "islamization of europe and failing intergration of problematic african/middle eastern cultures" argument, they will grow in % numbers and will finally collapse EU and create more "Hungaries". Also we have to understand that european liberalism is something rare and big part of the world is more into authoritarianism, relligious illiberalism and do not support lgbt rights or women equality. And by bringing the people, we are bringing their ideas. What i would prefer is to help north africa/middle east region to prosper, so the people would not want to migrate and have opportunities, wages and healthcare there.
I don't care about liberals or conservatives.
I don't give a sh%t about left or right.
I want common sense and law enforcement.
We will have no European values without European people.
I never thought of it that way but that makes so much sense, especially with all the fear-mongering ads and rhetoric I hear all the time about outsiders and I think this is a global constant from America to Mayotte
@@Talvara I don't think you even know what "far right" really means. Trying to spook idiots with "far right" ideology makes me laugh. People are not is against EU, people are against non-sense and hypocrisy from EU. People are not willing to stop foreign aid, people want to stop foreign aid to dictatorships and terrorists countries which then use that money to destroy us. People are not against migration based on legal terms, people are against illegal uncontrolled migration of complete jerks and plain criminals. Feel the difference. Because according to you weak and sick logic, if we don't do something about mass migration, they will destroy our Western world and there will be no place to migrate for all the others who might really need it. And it will happen much sooner than climate change. If we don't stop illegal mass migration now, within next 5-10 years we will got much bigger problems, than just climate change or EU politics. Then, you will beg "far right" to come and save your arse. But it will be too late.
I think it could be interesting to ask the Afghanistans, Syrians and others what they think about the EU. Not because we must do what they think, but it could give us an idea about what concerns them. The EU has a role in the world politics. Every EU law has not only an impact on the EU itself, but also on the world. And that’s why I think, we should also listen to them.

Sandro Gozi is not a member of the Democratic Party (which is in S&D) but is is a member of Italy Alive (EDP)
Apologies. Created a sticky
Thank you for this video! It is so strange, that in Sweden the parties that support this policy aren't ones I'd typically want to associate with. But on the EU level they're exactly what I want done. Reform Europe should get many more votes, I'm sure, if people could vote for them directly rather than through proxy parties.
That would be my preference as well
So true, I would never vote for the German FDP (neoliberals, they have a reputation of making policies for the rich, like less taxes for them, less regulations for corporation etc. they only have like 5% of the votes, so not a very popular party in Germany. But on the EU level they support all the things I want.. now I feel dirty because I really don't want to vote for the FDP, I try to convince myself that I vote for Macron or something haha (he has a lot of plans for a united Europe I think). I heard they will fall a lot this time tho, because Macron in France is failing against Le Pen... still think about voting something else ofc because it's so strange, I read a lot here that the national parties are different than renew xD
@@dagerrydann wähl einfach die „freien Wähler“. Die gehören auch zu renew Europe.
Don't believe them. They are exactly in the european parliament like they are Sweden : Full liberal, full individualist, full capitalist, every one on his own, every thing must be privatized, society is useless.
Thank you for this! As an under 30 woman trying to understand every party position and getting tired of hearing about the european elections only through the lenses of France's national politics (the unique way it is covered by media in France) this is really helpful
Great to hear :)
I'm in a similar position, but in Italy and it's hard to come by any information at all about the european parties. Of course these videos are not all there is to know, but as a starting point they're far better than nothing. I whish these elections had at least the same kind of coverage the national ones have and european states could finally get their act together and operate with better coordination on the topics that matter.
Oh, trust me, that "unique" way of main stream media coverage is probably just that same "unique" way we have here in the Netherlands...
And if I look at British CNN or whatever huge media they have there, doesn't differs much from here.
It also resonates very much with the "left woke" stupitism in the USA by the way...Only we call them differently here in Europe.
Thanks to this video I realise I'm most identified with this group. Thank you for this series!
I'm so glad!

Why does everyone in Renew look like a CHAD?
Hope the title works better xD
🤣🤣🤣
Only the Emperor looks like and is a CHAD. All others are pathetic impostors.
Europe will surely lose its quality of life edge if we don't step up our game in R&D in areas such as technology and green energy production. Renew seems to be the only party truly focused on this.
It's a funny thing about the EU elections, the populist party ANO that's in Renew Europe for Czech republic stands for completely different values than Renew Europe itself. Therefore, I don't really believe I can decide who to vote based on EU-level parties and their policies, because this way I would get to parties on national level I don't agree with at all. Hope it's different in other countries
most parties in Renew are very good but I face a problem similar to you - in Bulgaria the member party of Renew is an ultra-corrupt Turkish minority rights party that seems to be enveloped in a corruption scandal every couple of months and are responsible for a large amount of environmental damage due to their support for the logging industry.
National parties get kicked out if they don't generally align with the EU-level party consensus. See Fidesz and the EPP.
Literally what I was just thinking. I can’t see myself voting for ANO and I’m sad they’re the only Czech party in Renew to my knowledge ☹️ not really sure what to do
It's a damn comedy. Our government had a chance to be better than ANO and Babiš and they just handed the victory in the coming election to them.@@MilanVoslar
Same situation in Sweden. So I'm going to vote for a party I normally don't associate with, just so the vote goes towards Renew Europe. Please note that this vote does NOT determine what parties get into your local national parliament! They're separate elections! So you can still vote for your old party in your normal national election. This election is ONLY for the EU parliament, so feel free to vote differently there!
This seems to be the best group out of them all. Not perfect but I like them. Europe needs to finally put itself first after 50 years of putting itself last.
What are you talking about? Europe is the most prosperous continent in terms of social benefit and programs, quality of life, and overall prosperity. Are Europeans ready to sacrifice those for the sake of matching American influence and power? Let’s not forget American hegemony post-WW2 is a large part for Europe’s success. I mean I get it, the U.S. and China are far superior in terms of medical research, technology, space exploration, physics, chemistry, etc. and that upsets some Europeans who envy the past.
@@Arcticos0 We like those benefits, but if we want to keep them we must adapt to changes of the world, economical problems, rising anger of the EU citizens... Keeping status quo isn´t a solution forever.
Yeah, I find it very strange that people everywhere complain about EU’s bureaucracy and inefficiency and yet the party that wants to deal with this is polling on only 4th place now.
@@Arcticos0 When a country starts lagging in STEM areas, it starts lag in almost everything.
@@Arcticos0 if others " are far superior in medical research, technology, space exploration, physics, chemistry, etc." - then we are in stagnation and from there we either go up or down.
They seem the most reasonable .
This video finally introduced me to a group that largely shares my beliefs. Thank you!!
What about Volt? Maybe you can make a video for which party you will vote if you want the EU to become a single nation-state or at least a federation.
My goodness! Is it what you want? A single-nation state? How do you imagine that to practically happen?
If the UK was still in the EU, I would vote for a party that is part of the Renew Europe group
We could have all been golden, but those mainlanders are a certain breed of crazy.
And there’s a reason no one says GreatEU, go figure.
Thanks for covering Renew Europe. Probably my favorite group out there (next to Volt).
One of the best EU parties. Sad that they will fall so much
Thank you, looking forward to the rest of the partygroups, not much time left until the vote.
Renew! 🇪🇺
I feel like all these issues need reform, and Renew's plans are steps in the right direction.
Its a surprisingly good party. We'd be much better if they had EPP's seats
"Specifics on implementing a Green Deal are completely missing"... Then proceeds to mention two extremely important measures RENEW fully support: Energy Autonomy through renewables and nuclear, and creating "Net Zero Academies" to make the EU the driving force in creating, developing and produce green energy. RENEW is the future we need and deserve for a more united, developed and stronger Europe ❤🇪🇺

I'm from Czechia and for us it is populist (pro-Russia-ish) national-conservative ANO 2011 party. It's program is kinda simmilar to Orbán's Fidesz. So even if I wanted to vote for Renew, I kind of can't do that. well shame on my country I guess ...
vote for TOP09! economically and socially liberal party. -->epp
Gonna probably vote for them.
I’m in support of all of this but none of it matters when we let immigration and islamization crumble our countries from within
Thanks for this video!
Thank you for your work!!
Welcome!
Ain’t the German group here based on economic austerity? Like the economic policy that is NOT needed for increasing defence spending and civic pride in their nation and austerity simply cuts spending in public works/infrastructure/services.
I am a Greek citizen and I want to vote for Renew Europe. Is it possible? I can't find any national political parties aligning with Renew Europe.
In how many videos can you sneak the Barcelona immigrants video?
Labour shortages are NOT a reality. Alleged endless skill shortage in Germany and Netherlands coexist with sky high unemployment rate in Mediterranean countries. Even in STEM sector, local graduates as well as foreign students get a job after endless underpaid internships. Language barrier are falsely cited as reason for rejection while candidates from outsourcing locations are shoo-in into the job. Effectively companies want to do wage dumping, and they expect desperate but plug-and-play workers working at rock bottom salary.
Will you also make a video about the ECPM?
They are the best to vote for.
Imagine this situation: I agree with a "topic A" that an european party agrees with, but my nacional party of that european party doenst agree with that topic. Do I have to decide my vote based on what the european party agrees or based on what the nacional party agrees with?
Go Gozzi!
I can't vote yet, but next election I will vote renew Europe if possible (it's a bit hard to do so here in Spain)
They sound convincing.
Lets see if they have the necessary support.
Although their social aspect isn't that impressive, if they can add better citizen support safety nets then they can convince a few more people.
Will you cover the Greens eventually?
United Sates of Europe 🇪🇺
Another great video where you explain one of the political groups! As I said before these videos should be seen by every European so that they can inform themselves about who to vote for in the european elections!
Tbh probably the best program so far.

they pretty much got my vote now for being (so far) the only ones who are proposing urgent treaty change and, more importantly, the end of veto power, while still being socially liberal. and even though I often don't agree with some of national parties' policies (including mine), these are the eu parliament elections, so their vision for europe is what really matters.

In Czech Republic I would not vote for a Renew party ANO, because it is led by ex-PM Babiš, corrupt and incompetent guy close to Fico and Orban. About the green deal…We are about 9% of world pollution so does it make sense ? I mean it would be smarter building green/nuclear energy in the developing countries. We could take a percentage of the energy and they can use the other instead of the carbon based one

Nice! 🇪🇺
They definitely got my vote.
I’m not sure if others will agree with my reasoning as to why I’m voting for them, but I’ll try to explain how I see it.
When it comes to making policies and trying to solve problems, it’s important that one first tries to understand the interrelationship of the various factors involved. I found that many parties tend to have a somewhat one-sided view and look at a given situation mainly from one specific perspective. The result is often policies that go like “Obviously the problem is X and we need to do Y to solve it!” Such proposals are easy to understand and easy to promote to voters. In reality however, problems are rarely that simple and every piece of the puzzle is intertwined with every other piece. And every potential policy that we can implement has advantages and disadvantages.
In short, you have to look at the bigger picture.
Personally, I’ve found that what we call “centrist” or “liberal” parties are the most likely to arrive at more nuanced and realistic approaches that take different factors into account. Of course this doesn’t mean that other parties aren’t capable of analyzing a complex situation or that all centrist parties are brilliant problem solvers that never try to seduce voters. But it’s a rough overall trend I observed.
I support Renew’s approach of a more integrated, more democratic and better organised Europe that is a significant economic and military force. Us Europeans are strongest together.
I think that other parties are somewhat more focused on appeasing voters with proposals that “sell well”.
Renew has my vote because I want someone who looks at the bigger picture and really asks themselves where they want this continent to be heading.
I’m not sure if or on what parts others agree with me here. Feel free to share why you would or wouldn’t vote for them. It’s always interesting to hear the assessment of others.

Breakdown Europe, and build it up again with normal wages and less influences in the countries.
In doubt between renew europe & christian democrats. For me climate change and migration rules are the most important topics. I wonder which is the strongest in both areas.
Europe must first think about how to build a real democracy. Federation is also a system where all regions are equal and have a similar share in power. In countries such as the USA, it is not the richest states that govern, but all of them have a similar share in power.
NO to their EU policy. They want federal EU.
