State legislature can also have extra territorial jurisdiction while making laws and if there is sufficient nexus between state and the object, then the state law can operate outside state also.
I AM VERY MUCH GRATEFUL FOR YOUR LESSONS REGARDING POLITY. I HAVE A QUESTION SIR ---CAN STATE MAKE LAWS IF THERE IS CERTAIN SCENARIOS WHERE STATE HAVE SUFFICIENT NEXUS ON THE OBJECT OUTSIDE THE TERRITORIAL BOUNDARY OF THE STATE. I APOLOGIES IN ADVANCE IF SOMETHING WRONG HAVE BEEN ASKED.
Doctrine of territorial nexus says that laws made by a state legislature are not applicable outside the state, except when there is a sufficient nexus between the state and the object.
7:54 i think u r wrong sir... u said it is only available to parliament... but Article 245 clause 2 says : The laws made by a state legislature are not applicable outside the state, *except when there is sufficient Nexus between the state and the object* .
Sir, What about in that case where the state law has been reserved for the consideration of president and received his assent, there state law prevails or Parliament make a law on that matter??
In case the bill is reserved for the consideration of the President and later it received the assent of him the the State law shall prevail over central law

Sir, In case states passes a resolution to make laws (regarding matters which are in state list) then parliament is entitled to make laws on that matter. Is it permanent entitlement to parliament i.e. from now on that particular matter only parliament will make laws or it is for some fixed duration??
usually or generally used by judiciary to take a narrow decision on the state and central law which is repugnant and mainly during national emergency ....... u can relate it to doctrine of harmonious construction where judiciary takes out a narrow solution when 2 article contradict for a particular judgment and give its decision
yes it is, Ref - Minerva mills vs union of india, 1980. Everything is india is under judicial review. Though it is upon judiciary if it considers ac 11 as null and void but i don't think there is any flaw in the article which needs to be turned down.
