I take cold showers because of broken AC and the difference was immediate day 1. Smoother, shinier, bouncier, more voluminous, and I use zero product. The less snags, the less breakage and my hair's very long so it's a wise choice for many reasons!
Same here we don’t have warm water in my house 😂 so I only take quick cold showers, I’ve had major hair loss this winter but now it seem to stopped, maybe it’s the cold water
I had done this for two weeks straight full on cold showers. The girl I was seeing at the time started noticing my hair was as you said softer, easier to run fingers through and also thicker. I even started to notice that I wasn't getting any acne around my hairline as I did before from wearing ballcaps, cleared my acne on my face as well. I am fully considering just doing cold showers from now on.
@@spoopystories6772 I used the routine he used for hair. Body and face wise I did use soap everyday, but gradually went to every second day and it did wonders for myself personally. Your experience may differ from mine.
Them hair goals though! You're rocking the long hair! I am on my 6th month of growing it out from short, and because of my tighter curl, it is making the awkward stage more awkward and is lasting more than it should.
This may sound controversial but I ditched conditioner and warm water about two years ago. Hair loss stopped (not natural hair fall) hair never looked shinier!!! Thin-haired folks, you may wanna try thowing conditioner and use cold water may do so much for your thinning hair
I do not agree with your final conclusion. For the last 2 months I have finished my hot showers with a minute or 2 of cold water. It changed the texture and feel of my curls. Outside of that I barely use shampoo ( I hate how soft and smooth my hair becomes, hair bands don't work anymore), brush my hair during the hot part of the shower and just let it air dry (don't have a blow dryer). This is to say that I think the cold shower is more effective than you give it credit for. Now I'm not saying I know how to treat my hair better, but I do think you should have a point of comparison in order to make claims about the effectiveness of the cold shower vs the hair routine. ps. Chemistry student who just had a course about designing experiments to account for influence of different factors. Tho tbf my opinion stems from a sample size of 1 as well.
Cold water are absolute amazing. I only use hair products free from harsh chemicals _once_ per week. Rest is only cold water. I have amazingly good looking hair. I have never used hair wax, my hair is so thick that wind does not move it more than slightly. Wet, comb, style with just my hand!
I’ve been taking cold showers for about a year now and the most noticeable effects are my face is fully clear of acne and I use 0 products and routine other than taking my ice cold shower and rubbing my face in there , my hair being as healthy as ever and it growing so much faster than before , and a noticeable shine and volume/ bounce , lastly I would say is people constantly complimenting how thick and full my hair is for a guy especially girls lol
Wow! Thank you for sharing your experience! I just started researching the benefits of "cold showers" and the Wim Hof method this week. This video comes up just in time to discuss the dryness of hair, which I suffer from as a natural hair girl. Basically, if the cold water helps heal dry skin, inflammation and more, the same will mirror to the hair.. My husband and I just started taking cold showers this week! I will try to experiment with washing my hair as well with the cold water. No one is really talking about this type of benefit of the hair in the hair community. Thank you for sharing again and congrats on now over 50K subbies! 😀
@@creatinecutie Hey! So far still going cold. I washed my hair with cold water for the first time and it felt softer and more moisturized post wash! My curls also looked more defined. All my years I have suffered with dry skin and hair and now believe the hot water shower was the issue. Also, I haven't noticed any dry patches on my scalp after the cold water wash! Normally they show up a couple of days post wash even after using oils on my scalp. I really must have been stripping my scalp cells really bad with the hot water😯Thank you again for the excellent tip and follow-up 😃 Cheers!
If you have natural curly hair obviously you need to have curly hair as part of your genes. Regardless cold water will make your hair not only better hidrated and that will help your curls to form better without any need of products that even though hidrate your hair it also leaves the hair full of product(which I don’t like)
it is definitely not just because you do other things to it. Ik people and I myself don't use any products of any kind. Just separate your shampoo and conditioner use cold water and your hair will 100% be better. I do get your point though and you are not wrong either. Just saying you don't have to do a lot too it.
Hey loving the channel and very informative work. But do have a quick question, when you get your hair balanced and only washing it say once or twice a week (I'm currently having to wash mine every 4 days) during the days you're not washing it are you still getting it wet?
Ok but did you felt a difference with your skin?? ‘Cause i came here to tell you that you could have wash only your hair in cold water not all your body but! I do that sometimes washing all my body in cold water and i can tell you that my skin is 110% softer when i do it!!
How cold does the water need to be? I normally do hot showers, but today I started with Luke warm to wet and wash shampoo, however I turned the hot completely off to rinse the conditioner and it felt like ice was shooting out of the shower head. Though this might be because it’s currently winter, but how cold should be acceptable? I don’t think I can do completely cold every time.
i was in mexico for a month and for some reason the water there made my hair curly. i would get out the shower and hair would curl up. i’m back in america and my hair is straight now🤔
Hey brother...I have a question...Am I the only one who finds a few hairs on his hands when he washes his hair???....and how do I know that it is falling out?
So, I'm a year late but obviously was sort of looking in to this. I've heard it was a good idea to do for of course the same reasons you gave at the beginning of the video. There was something that I haven't ever seen anyone do or even talk about though. We know that warm water opens the cuticles of the hair, we know that dirt and grime gets in to these cuticles, we know that most would agree it's not a good idea to completely wash your hair every day, and we know that cold water closes the hairs cuticles. With us knowing all of that, would it be a good idea to wash our hair using warm water (opening those cuticles and allowing to clean the dirt and grime) then rinse the hair of that shampoo with cold water and then condition with cold water as well? Or even wash and rinse with warm water to keep the cuticles open, condition to deposit all that into the hair, then rinse with cold water to seal it in sort of like you would do when coloring someone's hair?
No. You should just do the cold shower fully. Baring it is the only way. You must use your own discipline. Going in headfirst could be dangerous, because you can make the blood run to your head, possibly causing a stroke or else which of that.
Hi Jesse. I'm really enjoying the content of yours that I've seen, so thank you for all your effort in that! 😌🙌🏽... I've heard a lot of people, and read a lot of research that says that guys who tie their hair up fairly regularly could potentially be at greater risk of receding their hairline, especially if they're tying the bun tightly, or for guys who may have receding hairlines in their gene pool... If possible, could you plesse do a video on whether there is any truth behind such research, or the extent to which it's just a myth? 😬

Massage your scalp twice a day with gentle pressure
And use coconut oil twice a week and don't shampoo your hair daily, only twice a week and use conditioner when you are done washing your hair
