My only problem with this is that there is very low sunlight for half of the year here. Solar area lights often stop working in this area during the winter because they can’t charge up.
You don’t need direct sunshine, you might want to re-write or re-educate yourself as solar panels don’t charge themselves! PS earths not flat and the Russians don’t care about you lol
A 3 dollar solar light at lowes is different than a 1,000 plus acre solar farm. On cloudy days these panels still create energy. That's why it is important to balance solar with wind energy. Really anything beats a coal fired plant spewing toxins into the air and letting radioactive waste runoff into the Ohio river.
I'd throw solar farms into my standard comment on wind turbines and EVs, monuments to the stupidity of man. That aside, who is going to pay for the clean-up? There will come a day when it will happen. If it were me, I would insist on a performance bond by the company that leased the land. What it will cost today to remove all of it and the bond value tied to inflation for the years to come. That would be and opened ended money pit nobody in their right mind would sign up for. There is no wind or solar device that can produce 135,000 volts in transmission lines.
Electricity, batteries and solar are better than burning coal and gas and diesel. Nobody cares about cleanup because it is 10X cheaper and 10X less poluted than a coal plant. These things are disassembled with a socket wrench, and they shred them, and make new solar panels with them. You are just grouchy, and you don't like change
@@dennisbethards3231 nice try but you're still going to need transmission lines for everything else that already exists. And solar and wind can tie into that quite nicely!
@@JohndEdmond-oy9lj probably not much more of a puppy noise than a coal company or an oil company makes when they go belly up... Isn't it interesting in Ohio that anything that has to do with Dinosaur Blubber or Fart Extraction is hunky-dory, put solar and wind are the end of the world? 🤣
Wind projects are now 10 plus years old in Iowa and failing because of age and not worth repairing leaving the farmer with the junk turbines and concrete. Not farmable dirt anymore.
Rather live near a solar farm than a real one that's routinely using heavy equipment and chemicals throughout the year. Moreover, as mentioned by the owner, the panels aren't forever. The land underneath is still there and with minimal effort can be farmed again. It's not as if they're building houses or a shopping center. Also, the alternative of wind turbines that cast flickering shadows, noisy, and kill a lot of wildlife would be worse. Solar is often the least disruptive renewable energy option.
One hail storm busting through the glass on those "green energy" solar panels will release mass quantities of heavy metals such as cadmium, lead, arsenic and silver into the soil.. Enjoy your "metalically enhanced" food products.
Wah Wah Wah! OMG what CRYBABIES!!! Imagine that: DUST being kicked up during construction! Why, that NEVER happens when you plow a field, ever!😂😂😂😂 And then there's Brown County Treasures Connie Patrick, why, I'll bet she's NEVER got a late payment on any property, ever!
I have a solar farm surrounding me and yes the construction phase was a nightmare. They pushed up 1200acres of thriving pine trees into piles and set them on fire as well as the dust and noise. But more than that we had to drive through the construction to go and come from our house. One one occasion we were almost killed by a large piece of machinery another time by the time I got to the top of the road I had two flat tires. We have nothing to do with this project why should we have to suffer for it? After the construction was completed you'd think it would be better but the thing buzzes. It's a sort of mechanical hum and it's ALL DAY LONG!! It also disrupts our TV, internet and phone signals and it has either run off or killed all the forest animals in our property. I just wonder what it's doing to us living in the middle of this thing.
the noise is bad. see how theres so much noise? Farmers don't drive tractors, 18 wheelers, and combines down this road to make sure the road is quiet lolz
Zero good reasons to put solar panels on perfectly good farmland. And good luck pulling up the panels, posts, wires, and concrete so you can farm the land once the lease is up.

The cattle and sheep will be very happy grazing under the panels.
There will be no grazing. Probably control the vegetation with chemicals.

their neighbors and community could buy the land if they cared enough to solve the problem. Land is always for sale, you just gotta nail the price.
