    Love how you change the music from rock to trance when the highway starts wich really suits as background mysic to the high way.

    Beautiful drive!! I'm so glad that you are willing to record your adventures in Europe, whether you are going around your own country, or in another country. Norway has always fascinated me, as it's flat, mountainous, and huge fjords, deep valleys, and every type of terrain you can think of. :) Thank you for being adventurous, and a man that loves to tape his adventures. I appreciate the time it takes to edit and upload, and all the other things it takes to put it on here. I'm loving it. :)

      South Rogaland looks pretty flat to me.

      @abcabcboy 6 лет назад +4

      It is not fully flat like the Netherlands, and parts of Denmark, but definetely the Jæren area of Rogaland very much stands out as a flat agricultural landscape in Norway.

    Nice scenery. This kind of topology looks very similar to the pre-cambrian shield with those similar kind of rock cuts for the road.

    Loved the rock cuts towards the end!

    you should make a video between porsgrunn and lillesand where you show to of the brand new E18 motorways Rugtvedt dørdal and tvedestrand arendal

    5:37 That tunnel is quite controversial. It doesn't allow for a future expansion to four-lane motorway since it only has space for three lanes. So in a few years, it will have been a waste of money.
    8:43 By "Eastern Norway" you mean Østfold? The first (unofficial) motorway in Norway was E18 through Asker, which opened in 1962. The rest of today's motorway between Sandvika and Drammen opened before the 1980s.
    On the other side of Oslo, E18 past Holmlia opened as a motorway in the 1970s.
    12:00 That is actually Norway's widest bridge at 28 meters.

      @EuropeanRoads  6 лет назад +3

      Ha yes, I meant "east of Oslo" by Eastern Norway. :-)

      nortex010 That tunnel is actually smart. It is enough for 3 lanes in one direction. (2 used lanes and one shoulder) If the road becomes a motorway, a second tumnel has to be built for the other direction.
      But you are probably looking at a 20-30 year time span before they start building on that.

    • @adventureguy5088
      @adventureguy5088 6 лет назад +1

      that's barely a shoulder. I doubt they can fit a full lane there. Maybe one of those Dutch left rush hour narrow lane things.

    German: Haha "Express Roads". In German ears this sounds like "you-have-to-go-at-least-180-km/h-Autobahn".
    ...wait... 90???.. Hahahaha.
    ...
    German: What? you have to even pay for this? This means strike!
    Norwegan: You can easily pay from home if you don´t have a autoPASS?
    German: Wait what? That implicates the state has MY DATA as well???
    CIVILWAR!!!

    Tragisk å se at man i Norge fremdeles kjører på to- og tre-feltsveier på norske motorveier - og uten midtdeler!

    • @Glenni91N
      @Glenni91N 6 лет назад +3

      Så masse rart i Tyskland og da jeg var der i 5 uker. Ikke bare Norge man har slikt, den er ikke akkurat plettfri autobahnen heller.

    • @oddebassen22561941
      @oddebassen22561941 6 лет назад +1

      Den ble bygget av tyskerne før krigen, og er dermed nesten 90 år! Denne veien er omtrent helt ny!!

      Autobahn er ikke *bare* gamle motorveier, en trenger ikke reise lengre enn til Bayern som har circa 10 millioner mennesker før autobahnene og veiene blir mer som ymse slag I Norge. De har masse *nye* autobahner i Bayern som var bygd mellom 1990, 2000, og nå i de mindre befolka områdene som ikke var stort bedre enn i Norge. 2+1 veier? Ja det har de. autobahn med gjengrodd midtdeler og plutselig slutt og over til 2 felts? Det har de også. Når var disse stubbene bygd? 2005. Ja de som går til München og andre millionbyer holder høy standard, men det er flere andre småbyer og byer på størrelse med norske der og. Hva tror du forbinder disse? 6-8 felts motorvei? Pøh! - Det er typisk norsk å sammenligne seg med land som Tyskland og Frankrike, men det er fort å glemme at de mindre befolka områdene som tilsvarer norsk befolkning sliter med samme driten. Vi er bare ett land på 5 millioner, vi kan ikke forvente motorveier i hver jævla grend, ta av deg nisselua.

    • @Noi5ee
      @Noi5ee 6 лет назад +1

      Ingen kreve motorvei i hver lille grend, men vi snakke her om nasjonale hovedtransportveier. Den dårlige standarden på norske hovedveier har stort med sett dårlig og kortsiktig planlegging å gjøre. Det at resten av strekning er bygd som 4 felt motorvei sier jo sitt. Heldigvis begynne det å blir litt bedre i det siste, med noe unntak som e6 Helgeland.

    • @Noi5ee
      @Noi5ee 6 лет назад +1

      @Weakypedia forutsatt folk faktisk kjøre 90 der , sålangt jeg veit er det ikke bygget forbikjøringsfelt der
