Beautiful drive!! I'm so glad that you are willing to record your adventures in Europe, whether you are going around your own country, or in another country. Norway has always fascinated me, as it's flat, mountainous, and huge fjords, deep valleys, and every type of terrain you can think of. :) Thank you for being adventurous, and a man that loves to tape his adventures. I appreciate the time it takes to edit and upload, and all the other things it takes to put it on here. I'm loving it. :)
It is not fully flat like the Netherlands, and parts of Denmark, but definetely the Jæren area of Rogaland very much stands out as a flat agricultural landscape in Norway.
5:37 That tunnel is quite controversial. It doesn't allow for a future expansion to four-lane motorway since it only has space for three lanes. So in a few years, it will have been a waste of money. 8:43 By "Eastern Norway" you mean Østfold? The first (unofficial) motorway in Norway was E18 through Asker, which opened in 1962. The rest of today's motorway between Sandvika and Drammen opened before the 1980s. On the other side of Oslo, E18 past Holmlia opened as a motorway in the 1970s. 12:00 That is actually Norway's widest bridge at 28 meters.
nortex010 That tunnel is actually smart. It is enough for 3 lanes in one direction. (2 used lanes and one shoulder) If the road becomes a motorway, a second tumnel has to be built for the other direction. But you are probably looking at a 20-30 year time span before they start building on that.
German: Haha "Express Roads". In German ears this sounds like "you-have-to-go-at-least-180-km/h-Autobahn". ...wait... 90???.. Hahahaha. ... German: What? you have to even pay for this? This means strike! Norwegan: You can easily pay from home if you don´t have a autoPASS? German: Wait what? That implicates the state has MY DATA as well??? CIVILWAR!!!
U were lucky that the road maintenance was there, Beacuase there is another toll between these 2 interchanges, theres a lot of them on E18 and it’s annoying beacuase i live in Mysen..
Its insane that they build parts of this as express road in 2014. Norwegian road construction... Where others plan 40-50 years ahead, we plan 15 years ahead!
Love how you change the music from rock to trance when the highway starts wich really suits as background mysic to the high way.

Dana Chappell How is Norway flat?
+kempo 95
It has flat areas.
Debre Szabolcs Attila The water is flat, but the rest not.
South Rogaland looks pretty flat to me.
It is not fully flat like the Netherlands, and parts of Denmark, but definetely the Jæren area of Rogaland very much stands out as a flat agricultural landscape in Norway.
Nice scenery. This kind of topology looks very similar to the pre-cambrian shield with those similar kind of rock cuts for the road.
Loved the rock cuts towards the end!
It's either that or tunnels. All highways here has a lot of it
you should make a video between porsgrunn and lillesand where you show to of the brand new E18 motorways Rugtvedt dørdal and tvedestrand arendal

Ha yes, I meant "east of Oslo" by Eastern Norway. :-)

that's barely a shoulder. I doubt they can fit a full lane there. Maybe one of those Dutch left rush hour narrow lane things.

amazing scenery love it!
I live in Mysen , you probably were driving on 128, the old E18 through Momarken and Ramstad, a part of Mysen
Yes it was Ørjeveien. The police had a checkpoint for eastbound traffic there.
U were lucky that the road maintenance was there, Beacuase there is another toll between these 2 interchanges, theres a lot of them on E18 and it’s annoying beacuase i live in Mysen..
Just wondering: what car do you drive and what is your home country?
God morgen.
Wonderful, as always!
