Best video ever! Yes yes yesss ❤ the first time I was in Egypt I realized it was another dance...with the same steps, but looked another dance! Then I thought, if the steps are the same, then, what makes it different from what we dance in other countries? I started then my research in 2007 - and is still going on, of course. In all my trips to Egypt I asked everybody I could this question: what makes it different an Egyptian dancing from a foreigner dancing? Everybody gave me the same answer: FEELING. That made me frustrated at first because how would I possibibly get to that feeling and then teach about it? After some trips and living among Egyptians as much as I could I could totally understand how much they were right and that yes, it is possible to get at least a little bit close to that feeling. And people can feel it ❤ baladi is the core of this dance and its soul, I can't get tired of learning more about it being mesmerized by its simplicity - not simple to get, though. Ok that's enough talking! 😅😅 thanks for the video!

This aligns precisely with the content I consistently cover in my lectures and lessons. My dear Monica, I believe you still recall our extensive discussions on this topic, along with most of our exchanges on WhatsApp. Moreover, witnessing your exquisite dance performances convinces me that you possess a thorough understanding of these concepts. Your remarkable performance leaves me deeply impressed.❤️️❤️️❤️️
On the other hand, I'm looking forward to meet you and your husband soon in Egypt.😍😍😍
