In fairness to Janina San Miguel she is very beautiful. In the international pageant, the first that is being noticed is not whether the contestants speaks English well or not. It is always the beauty and elegance that brings a candidate to the top 15 and if good luck gets along, to the top 5. For Janina San Miguel, she could have fared well in the Miss World pageant had she not backed out. Her beauty and elegance is captivating.!
Yes in beauty pagaent in general physical beauty is the ticket to make it, but in the end if you don't know how to speak or shall we say if you're not intelligent enough then you will not win specially nowadays where beauty pagaents focuses more on the candidate's intelligence and causes. Good for Janina. She did not melt down and stayed poised and confident- that was a big plus.. Her only mistake was talking in English- her handlers' mistake and the pageant's sponsor mistake. They should have known that some contestants did not speak much English. The judges correctly interpreted that this was a program format mistake. The question should had been asked in Tagalog if they did their homework about the abilities of each contestant.
Siguro if Joined when she was in her early 20s and na train ang comm skills, she would do well sa intl pageants.. her comm skills is her weakness but at her age 17, she has the best stage presence, and most beautiful face and body in her batch..both bb international and bb universe that year we’re not even noticed sa mga pageants nila..

Both of them have a lot of success since.

nuon hindi mas mataas ang miss w sa miss u.. in alphabetical order lang sya to emphasize na parepareho lang ang level niya.. yun ay NUON.. pero ngayon ay parang mas mataas na ang level ng miss u sa kahit anong intl pageant..
