Let's not forget that Paige was justified right after the summer ended when Ashley set up dates with both Jimmy and Sean, knowing that Jimmy would hate it if he knew, and then insulted Terri for trying to express her concerns. I know this is an unpopular opinion in the fandom but this is why I never liked Paige. She was selfish, rude, and entitled. If she were a real person nobody would want to be her friend. Her attitude is just terrible. She’s definitely one of those people who is mean to everyone but it gets dismissed with “that’s just how she is”
Right. Some people mistake being entertaining to watch with actually being an admirable person. I love Paige as a character but I would NEVER want someone like her in my life.
She is mean to everyone, but I think you have to pick your battles with degrassi. Everyone pretty much is shitty in their way. And with Paige I always got the sense she insulted people because she didn't want to dig into her emotions and be completely herself. A good 75% of her insults here are to uplift or defend her friends, or to help someone without admitting she cares, or to finish a fight someone else started. I understand that way better than I understand say Ashley who was also mean to everyone but 100% of it was for selfish reasons and the second she got called out she played the victim
I don’t even liked degrassi at all because on how I feel like almost everyone here is extremely unlikable like do the writers even like teenagers because I don’t even think they do in fact I’d can’t help but feel like they’re always being condescended to for existing
