Researching about PRN nursing. Thank God I found u. I m the RN in medsurg but wanting to pick up PRN position in ER in my own hospital. How the pay going be like? Let’s say I got $50 an hour in med surg. How much more for PRN position I can expect? Am I gonna be expecting 2 separate paychecks or one combine check since it is the same hospital? Cos I m doing PRN just to support my senior mom so hopefully all pay goes to her account directly

As staff nurse in Maryland I still make 100k. I don’t understand prn when I can do the exact same in overtime as you
Yes, this is true in some cases, but PRN is great for someone looking for 100% autonomy over your schedule
