- Arpeggio is a very common technique for guitar in general. You would find it in many classical guitar pieces as well as acoustic guitar styles. To me Arpeggio sounds like waves : beautiful and unique touch with a movement...
Arpeggio means broken chord : instead of playing the chord at once you play the each note individually in a sequence.
For beginning players, working on arpeggios will unlock the space between strumming chords and running scales, and give you a better general understanding of musical harmony-meaning, in its broadest sense, the ways that two or more notes can interact.
I hope you enjoy my new Right Hand Technique video for Arpeggio Exercise.
All the best!
Thu Le

I did start learning to play classical guitar many years ago, but because of my work as a university professor, lessons ended just half a year after. Now, after more than 40 years, I'm picking up classical guitar lessons with my Masaru Matano 400 (1974). Ms. Thu Le's lessons are indispensable. I am already indebted to you Thu Le, not just because of the lessons but also because of your exceptionally admirable personal touch. You are a very precious gift to the universe.
Yes ! ✨️✨️✨️🦊
A nice little lesson from such a sweet lady who happens to be more than a great guitarist, but a rare artist
Chúa ơi, hay quá. Vậy là cuối tuần này có bài để tập rồi. Cảm ơn nhiều lắm.
My god you are incredibly beautiful. Being such a gifted and practiced guitarist just makes it seem unfair for the rest of us. :)
I'm always amazed at how balanced and clear your guitar always sounds.
Yet it is still very full. Doing all of my work now in the studio, I must admit I'm a little jealous.
Thanks as always
Спасибо! Ваши уроки прекрасны! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
I started using arpeggios about 6 or 7 years ago to warm up my 76 year old , fat, crooked, arthritic fingers. I use all open chords, G, ‘Em, Am, D, Am, ‘Em, C, D and back to G. I’ll go through this progression at a slower tempo then finish with a couple repetitions as fast as I can make these old fingers move. I have a lot of fun playing guitar but I really appreciate watching your finger movements. thank you for sharing your expertise.
Thanks Henry and keep on playing!!!
I’ve been playing since I was 19. Played in a group around my hometown in Illinois for about 10 years
She is a great musician. But more than that she is a great musician with a heart.
Maestra, a illuminated person with so much generosity. Thanks 👏👏👏
Thanks Thu Le, I really like how you play a simple exercise with emotions and turn it into a very musical melody!
Thank you!
"Start every day with THU LE!" Thank you Thu Le for another great lesson and for the tabs. Ciao for now... have a great week!
"play slow to play fast" - I now know the power of these words after having wasted my crucial years trying to play fast before learning to play slow, Thank you Thu !
Thank you so much for doing these lesson, I really enjoy watching them, please don't stop doing them. Have a great day
Great lesson explained in easy way. I just learned to play it on acoustic guitar. Now need to speed up, but already sounds nice ;-)
Ma’m, it is so nice of you to do this. You are very blessed, I pray that God will bless you evermore for the kindness and generosity you are putting forth with these lessons.
I hope to play as well as you some day, thanks to these free lessons I just might.
Peace to you
Mrs. Thu Le, thank you for taking the time to make and share this video. Your explanation is easy to follow.
That’s a great introduction to this essential skill. Students can be intimidated by a volume of Mario Giuliani’s book of arpeggios,or even Carcassi’s . This is musically interesting enough to encourage them on to attempting more complex patterns. Your so kind to take the time to help beginners this way.😁👍🕊🌹🕊
Как волшебно у тебя звучит гитара! Игра виртуозная! Огромное спасибо!!! Браво, браво!!!
Love your lesson from Vietnam. Thank you very much.💞💞💞

Thank you!
I appreciate you very much, Thu Le.
Great tips for practicing this technique Thu Le.👍
As always thank you.👌
I work on some pretty hard pieces, but when I play this, my family are happy.
This Le has got excellent right hand dexterity. I m an experienced player but I find it quite a challenge to get up to her speed. I think the point I am trying to make is to emphasise what she said about practicing slowly and don t rush to play it fast. It will come but it takes a great deal of practice. Great tutorial.
Thanks. I needed to hear that! 🥴
Thank you for your simple yet beautiful practical exercise that I can apply to my daily routine ❤️💕👍🙏
Muy bien , saludos desde Colombia 🇨🇴
Gracias, Saludos desde Marruecos
WOW!!! I keep wondering how can you make a mere sequence of chords sound like a real piece of art? Everything you touch turns into brilliant!!!
All this episode I was staring at your beautiful smile and that box of new strings on the shelf :)
I would love you to break down how you played "Deseo volar contigo", i contacted Alfred Feenstra a few years ago after seeing your video and he kindly sent me the score but alas we all need teachers!
Thank you so much for your videos. Can't wait for the next one !
You are great as always. Many thanks for your valuable work.

Wonderful video, thanks. Arpeggio doesn't mean "broken chord" though, it comes from the word "arpa" (harp) :)
