@@francescopignatone128 that's a nice joke haha but in Game 2 Carlsen actually played the 15 year old Grandmaster Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa (also from India). Young Praggnanandhaa may be World Champion someday though. That is certainly far from impossible at this point.
@@TV28Playz actually, Naroditsky, Bok, Jacobson, Boros, Niemman and more... even some super gms like Shakh said that Hikaru was the best in the world at 3+0, better than Magnus. So if many GMs say it, it’s probably not false.
18:41 Wow. Threw up a bunch of arrows so fast, and then the whole sequence actually happened for a win for him. We're watching true genius, all delivered in the tone of a guy trying to decide what he'll have for lunch lolol.
When you see Magnus playing it seems so easy. In whole game we see maybe 4-5 unexpected moves, everything else looks so logical and easy to find. But those 4-5 moves making him genious.
Just superb - instructive and entertaining watching Magnus Carlsen play against chess prodigies, and appreciating his feedback and praise to the younger players
Watching these videos actually helps me think up better moves, the sneak arounds on the back file is something I’ve never thought of. These endgames are insane to watch.
18:45 He called every move like 6 moves ahead. (Probably knew what his opponent was going to do before they did) Unbelievably accurate. That is something learned through experience. The man is a genius!
Right... He can make winning attack from nothing. Unbelievable. We just see completely close and static situation on the board, Magnus sees "mate in 7" :-)
I like that he started drawing arrows to showcase his thoughts during the games. For me its hard to follow lots of notation so its nice to visualize the moves with the arrows.
1:01:56 This is why chess is amazing... You can be a 15 yo FM and the World Champion feels the need to know who you are! Name a sport other than maybe GO that that happens!
World champion Carlsen speaks English much better than most non-native speakers and even native speakers. Very much better. As a native English speaker I appreciate his effort(s). AND...he seems to be a very nice gentleman.
I always watch long stream chess and of course I fall asleep eventually. But everytime magnus says "I'm not worried about sex" I walk up immediately lol
Have we ever had a better WC? He truly is a WC of the people.

Hello Magnus, here some fans from Guatemala, the very land where guys invented zero and made all that calculations back in time, calculated plenty of planet orbits and so on.... great fan of your skill
Nihal sprayed some sarin gas on Magnus room and knocked him down amazingly...It is fine to see such world champion biting the dust so deeply...but on general terms, Magnus smashes everyone he faces without much effort...very nice video to watch!!!!
Just here studying Magnus, the human. I'm a little confused at 11:48. Did the video cut, or did Magnus react to his opponent not taking the pawn on D6 instantaneously. I'm pretty sure the video didn't cut. I just imagine that for most people there would be some sort of a gap.
Can we just appreciate how we live in a world where we get to see live and forever continue to watch these types of videos from arguably the greatest chess player in history. Let alone any sport live and having rhe insight. Truely remarkable
I was shocked Magnus missed the knight move against Nihal and ended up blundering, had a really solid position and ended up on the back foot. Sealed his fate with the pre-move and that was the end of that. Might be an old game but it's still really interesting how even small improvements or prevention can prevent completely losing your position.
i love how unsure of himself magnus seems when in reality he is the goat and what sounds like uncertainty is just the thoughts of a genius thinking out loud
Can somebody explain the opening at around 01:28? Is it just courtesy to accept the no-castle game or by not doing so, would you be opening yourself up to a disadvantage…? Thanks
I'm disappointed in Carlsen. He gets drawn into some opening variants that have been prepared over a period of weeks by a computer assisted team super GMs, he burns as much as half a second on the clock tanking over it, and he sometimes *almost* misses the exact refutation!

Magnus is such a honestly good person, without pretending, so natural. So much respect to him and his parents.
If you said that to him he would shrug and stare at the ceiling like he always does
Liked how Magnus introduced all his opponents!
And I like you, dear Sergey

“And why did I jump in? Because I’m a moron, that’s why”. -Magnus, 2021
Magnus describes everyone very brutally but he forgets to mentions himself as the greatest player of all the times.
Sending love from India
Magnus is slowly incorporating himself into meme culture and I'm all for it
The Mozart of chess. His playing seems so easy, it's just amazing
Right... He can make winning attack from nothing. Unbelievable. We just see completely close and static situation on the board, Magnus sees "mate in 7" :-)
This guy analyzes with arrows and all while playing.... in a blitz game. Legend.
And wins
O M G! Magnus has started drawing lines!!!
Magnus is one of the chess players of all time.
He's a chess player for sure
Looks more like a poker player to me.
What a world we live in to be able to just watch the best chess player of all time play chess
I like that he started drawing arrows to showcase his thoughts during the games. For me its hard to follow lots of notation so its nice to visualize the moves with the arrows.
1 hour 21 mins. “He disrespected me and must be punished” lmaooooooooooo
i absolutely love his commentary when he plays. THE GOAT !
So he is commenting the games, making jokes, and normally he is ahead of time in most of the games....awesome Magnus
1:01:56 This is why chess is amazing... You can be a 15 yo FM and the World Champion feels the need to know who you are! Name a sport other than maybe GO that that happens!
e sports maybe
Most other esports like Starcraft would be similar. There's a community after all.
This is another reason the Internet is incredible. Being able to play a chess game with Magnus is amazing.
Magnus says 'Not a good game' when he beats a 2600 player. For me, that would be the best game of my life. Perspective.
I am a 3150 player
@@natehbrotherroy17 I find that hard to believe :)
@@cafe1234arsenal actually just checked I am up to 3350

Magnus explaining his thoughts feels like that one class that you know youre screwed when the final exam comes
46:28 the fact that he had a significant time lead but still resigned, giving the respect owed to his opponent. The whole stream was great!
ruclips.net/video/yIOeb0K7Zw0/видео.html
...
it takes max 3 seconds to checkmate for his opponent
World champion Carlsen speaks English much better than most non-native speakers and even native speakers. Very much better. As a native English speaker I appreciate his effort(s). AND...he seems to be a very nice gentleman.
1:53:49 He Thanos snapped all her pieces… He wasn’t even playing at 10% until that point
"I think I'm going to jump in ... Why did I jump in? Because I'm a moron, that's why." ROFLMHO
29:00
I always watch long stream chess and of course I fall asleep eventually. But everytime magnus says "I'm not worried about sex" I walk up immediately lol
Have we ever had a better WC? He truly is a WC of the people.
Hello Magnus, here some fans from Guatemala, the very land where guys invented zero and made all that calculations back in time, calculated plenty of planet orbits and so on.... great fan of your skill
I'm most intrigued by the sheer number of birds making sounds in the background..
The more u think buddy, the happier i am 😂😂😂
@1:12:33 isn't queen c3 checkmate ? After bishop blocks and takes with queen
There is f6 first
I'm almost as good on a 3 day game as Magnus in his last 5 seconds of a blitz
"There we go! She's collapsing! I'm collapsing a bit as well!"
When ever Magnus says "hustle" I put 0.5 speed
I love his relaxed nature
I love how magnus tries to flag Vincent even though magnus has 1/3 of the time on the clock
This stream was game a changer for me!
Just seeing how he'd rotate the pieces on his side of the board was mesmerizing!
Huge fan thanks for the demonstration!!!!
“Teaching about chess, not manners!!” 😂😂😂
Interesting and lessonful games 👍
1:12:19 he’s seriously disrespected me here
18:30 is how I know he can see the future
Magnus best quality: his sense of humour 😂😂😂
What a play at 18:40 he got the moves right
Nihal sprayed some sarin gas on Magnus room and knocked him down amazingly...It is fine to see such world champion biting the dust so deeply...but on general terms, Magnus smashes everyone he faces without much effort...very nice video to watch!!!!
Eh, Magnus blundered that b2 pawn. Sarin did take advantage of that blunder in good style, but lots of strong GMs would have done the same.
You deserve more subs
That second match was so close and I just found out he just lost to that same player a few days ago at an online tournament. Really strong player
Just here studying Magnus, the human. I'm a little confused at 11:48. Did the video cut, or did Magnus react to his opponent not taking the pawn on D6 instantaneously. I'm pretty sure the video didn't cut. I just imagine that for most people there would be some sort of a gap.
I think he realised they can take back, that’s what the gasp was, just as the move was played. Then his words reflect the current board position
Can we just appreciate how we live in a world where we get to see live and forever continue to watch these types of videos from arguably the greatest chess player in history. Let alone any sport live and having rhe insight. Truely remarkable
Agreed.
1:12:40 he could make queen c3 than bishop f6 queen f6 checkmate
yes exactly! He didn't see it ?
Just pawn f6, nor the bishop
Thank you :)
i really like seeing this side of the GOAT
Which app is uses for playing chess
Lichess
Interesting to see him coaching Pragg in Game 2...
how can someone not love Magnus?!!!
Did anyone see the 2 move checkmate against nihal when carlson pinned the rook with his queen?
59:24 me every chess game
25:00 someone saw the trick magnus could pull off with the bishop?
"...just pure, disgusting luck."
I lost it there xD
I was shocked Magnus missed the knight move against Nihal and ended up blundering, had a really solid position and ended up on the back foot. Sealed his fate with the pre-move and that was the end of that.
Might be an old game but it's still really interesting how even small improvements or prevention can prevent completely losing your position.
Amazing Magnus, thanks for the class
1:11:21 "I dont see any tactics"
How about Nxe7 Rxe7 Bxb7 and black can not recapture due to back rank mate.
Love the name. Any Bball fans catch it?
End game with Gunay was a-mazing
45:54 if magnus takes rook, bishop gives check forking rook. I couldn't see that!
i love how unsure of himself magnus seems when in reality he is the goat and what sounds like uncertainty is just the thoughts of a genius thinking out loud
Unbeatable in the endgame lmao his brain just processes faster then everyone else in the world
1:41:10 how is an IM 1500? Or is that just a new account? :O
Can somebody explain the opening at around 01:28? Is it just courtesy to accept the no-castle game or by not doing so, would you be opening yourself up to a disadvantage…? Thanks
Lol where? Your seeing stuff

great video - loved his commentary
The intelligence ..... dang! I wouldn't even know where to start :D
More of this.
1:24:35 Like a true caveman, damn you Magnus you are such a savage :D lol
How do you improve your game on blitz and rapid?
1:23:54 meanwhile, magus’s dog is fighting off intruders
Magnus with only 5 secs on the clock: "I got so much time."
Complete side topic - what software is being used where you can draw these arrows? Chess Vibes seems to use it too
Gm galiant was a legend ! He fooled magnus so well!!
That was the first arrow i have drawn, its a milestone!
I'm disappointed in Carlsen. He gets drawn into some opening variants that have been prepared over a period of weeks by a computer assisted team super GMs, he burns as much as half a second on the clock tanking over it, and he sometimes *almost* misses the exact refutation!
You took me down, then up, then further up! 🤣
Lol
1:12:39 did Magnus missed the checkmate????? Lol he could play queen C3 and gives mate but he missed it
1:40:11 Player quit on time win?? Players don't quit even when it's 1 move from mate
In 25:37 missed bg6 sucrefice . I think
Does anyone know the name of the site that Magnus plays on?
