Hey, quick mistake (it's also edited in the video): this Ben's 5th NOT 4Th win. I made a mistake when firstly writing the script, only corrected after Jousis had recorded the VO. Sorry! -Skryah
This stuff is brilliant. The event, the videos, the editing, the voice over, the prizes and the entertainment. Just brilliant thanks to everyone who participates and a special thanks to all those for producing a fun and entertaining video. Cheers.
I have never played the Gauntlet, have never had any interest in it. I can't play the regular game without dying hundreds of times per character, so hardcore has just never been an option. Add the rippy map mods on top of that, and Gauntlet has always been out of the question for me. But I was playing last Friday, and the notification that the Gauntlet was about to begin came up on my screen. And I said, you know what...what the heck. I scrambled in the remaining 5 minutes to decide on a build and get a POB ready. I settled on EA Juggernaut, seeing how well that character went for Ziz during the league. My marauder died at Hailrake. Cue laughter. Marauder just does not feel good at those early levels, all the attacks are so painfully slow, and so rather than throw in the towel, I decided to roll an EA Champion. My duelist felt much better, but I wasn't thinking like a hardcore player, and rushed right in to Kuduku, that that false god smote me where I stood. With 2 rips only a half hour in, I decided I'd give it one more go, again with EA Champ. The ensuing 6 days were some of the most fun I've ever had in PoE. I didn't get to play on the weekend, but I pulled an all nighter Sunday just to squeeze in as many hours as I could. I played every free moment, which isn't many with my numerous children and full time job. But for my schedule, I was blasting. With hardcore, the stakes were so high, and only got higher the further I got, and that enhanced my enjoyment so much more than I could've guessed. With every act boss slain, I got closer to my personal goal of completing the campaign, until Wednesday afternoon, Sin, Innocence and I ascended the ladder and killed Kitava for a second time. Wednesday and Thursday were jam packed with fun as well, as I slowly progressed through white maps, filling out a modest portion of my atlas tree while trying to farm 6 Porcupine cards in Terrace. But my journey was cut short Thursday evening, when after days of sleep deprivation, I briefly dozed off in a T2 map, of all places. That's all it took, when I opened my eyes, I saw the Exit button staring me in the face. My heart was just a little broken, but this experience taught me that I am able to play hardcore, I'm even able to play the Gauntlet, and I'm able to have a fantastic time doing it. I'll be back for the next one, thank you for this incredible event.
@@doomzx8284 he had a great plan and executed it very well, that was indeed the reason. Nobody said anything about other players, get your head out of your ass. 🤣
Been having a lot of fun with this gauntlet with my brother. It’s my first gauntlet and I got to level 72 before finally dying. I’ll be excited to continue doing this and future gauntlets :)
Maybe adding the original sin as a one-time specific gauntlet goal, on top of having to kill all Uber bosses, would make this gauntlet more interesting to watch. That way it wouldn't end in 4 days or so, as well + make it more interesting than past gauntlets. If possible, try to have a league specific goal included in the Gauntlet rules for winning it
I dont think thats a good idea since its very rng if you get the relic or not to be able to attempt nohit. This is why cortex was removed from the point pool since its too rng if people get one or not. Having it as a bounty was a nice middle ground imo
It's kind of BS, to be honest. The dude is using multiple macros in his run to speed things up. How is this allowed? "Oh I put the macros on 3 keys instead of 1"...fine but you're still interacting with he UI in a way that is not possible without the macro scripts hence it is an advantage and shouldn't be allowed.

the fact his practice run was full cleared 11 hours faster than his actual gauntlet run is insane to me

Congrats Ben for win in upcoming event.

And now he is farming rl currency (: so many good players, and yet Ben gets so far ahead, really impressive imo.
he went in with lots of practice and a strong game plan and he executed it very well! it was incredible to watch.
@@labrat-mv2xi Yeah I'm sure other players went in randomly without any plan, he was the smartest one to think of it, right...thats the reason
@@labrat-mv2xi learnt from last Gauntlet mistake..he could've won that Gauntlet too..

Me carefully betting money on Ben winning next gauntlet instead of trying to win prizes:
Improvise , adapt, overcome
Currently at lvl 82 in my second ever gauntlet try. Playing SC trade normally so it's a huge change of pace and quite fun. Hoping to get to 90!
Same, had so much fun, never played hard core before or gauntlet, unfortunately died at 96 but man I think I'm gonna switch from sc
@@restless8638 lvl 96 first time not only hc but gauntlet? Thats quite impressive. Good job sir
Thanks for giving a short look into Ben's build.
dude even got original sin O_O
I love that @OMGItsJousis is casting gauntlets love his voice. Hopefully he can be a regular!
Damn that bring me the horizon "throne" reference was wild
And during rips Mantra riff is played!
4:49 I love the Bring Me The Horizon Reference.
Salutations Jousis
Monster modifiers were more visible in archnemesis league because they were more colorful and clearer ;)
Subtle reference to "Throne" by Bring Me the Horizon in there around 5:00. Nice.
Very impressive movement on Maven, Ben. Hats off to u, well deserved win! 👊

ben is a gigachad, that boss rush was insane
Impressive! Great stuff.
1:14 what track is that please.
What is the name of the track that starts at 4:40 ?
"Features the skill BENned system" KEKW ICANT
awesome production guys, Ben is a monster its nuts
New gauntlet
Ben: oh free money
What background music is that?
GZ to Ben
Oh man, gauntlet vaal licorice throwers... that's some nightmare fuel.
There’s something about Mary hair gel lol
I got careless and died at 49. Sigh.

made it to 75 but dont know what im doing in maps, maybe next gauntlet ill hit 90..
And that's why my current character in Gauntlet is called yet_another_RIP🤕
has BEN a pleasure
When you see everyone is playing SRS. Shit.
How many non champion wins does Ben have?
Crystal prison is so dumb. It deserves a nerf.
ban SRS next gauntlet
everyone is palying SRS :D lol
Path of ben
Ben godgamer
So we can assume that SRS will get nerfed next league
literally everything that poisons is broken
As of this league, everything can poison :^)
@@Andrew-eh7oh Oh shit, yea, even seismic traps can poison.
@@ihavegotnoidea IT WILL KEEL
Poison is just extremely strong at the moment majorly thanks to the curse changes, we'll probably see some adjustments to that.

Can we ban ben instead of skills?
