Do you two have jobs? Yes! We both have full time careers. Brian is a Software Engineer and Kerry is a Graphic Designer.
Is this vlog a paid promotion with the cruise line? No, we have never worked with a cruise line before (I doubt they even know who we are 😂). If that ever changes, we will be sure to let you know in the video.
What are those black pouches around your neck? We use the lanyards to carry some camera equipment, but many cruisers like to wear lanyards to hold their room key card.
What camera do you use? We typically use the DJI Pocket II, however, when we are in the water we use the Go Pro Hero 9, and in Alaska we occasionally used the Nikon P1000 for wildlife shots. What is a GUSS? GUSS is our name for a Towel Animal! It is a childhood memory for Brian that has lived on for years. You can see the home video moment where GUSS was born in Adventure of the Seas Day 6 (We Made the News) and Allure of the Seas Day 3 (Sea Day).
Is that one thing you said serious? Almost certainly not. If you’re new to the channel, we have really dry, sarcastic senses of humor. So if you’re questioning if it’s sarcasm - it probably is.
How do I ask a dinner time question? Leave a comment on any video and let us know it’s supposed to be answered at dinner time. We’re always looking for new questions (even if the next cruise we can answer it on is a long long way out).
Is it really pronounced CoCo “Key”? Royal Caribbean has said itself that it is pronounced “Key” in a FAQ of their own here: creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal.... To each their own on this pronunciation!
When and how did you meet? We met in February of 2020 via a dating app. We answer this question in more detail in our Independence of the Seas Day 2 (Swimming with Pigs) video.

I'm disappointed not to find Key Lime Pie on the list! I'm sure it's just cause it's something you can't get on the ship (unless you had so much in such a short time that you just aren't ready to even think about pie yet), but you experienced it from a cruise just like the Shack Chicken Sandwich. I think *someone* needs to make a scratch off board of favorite foods. ;-)

Fun video! In regards to the Disney vs Royal food, I personally like that Disney’s food is mostly all included. Sometimes it feels like other cruise lines make their main dining food kinda blah so it forces you to go to the specialty restaurants.

I’ve done New Years in Times Square (1989 and 1993) and on the Las Vegas Strip (1997) and YOUR ship’s Promenade looked WAY more cramped! Just looked uncomfortable…. This was a nice video…thanks once again for sharing!

Dinner time question: if you could make your perfect cruise day what would it be: (ship, excursion, port, meals, weather, etc!)
I'm on Mariner for my first cruise soon and have booked kayaking at Coco Cay. Did they have single kayaks? i saw an older video where they did so I'm hoping that's still the case. I have 3 weeks to build my paddling muscles up 🤣 (love that you literally passed like ships in the night with your parents)

It was so wrong I was working out on the treadmill while you discussed all the food for your HOF. Did it cancel my work out? I don’t think it works that way. Feel free to use the calories I burned for your next cruise. Have an extra scoop of ice cream or something.
Where are we going on the honeymoon cruise?
I was surprised to hear the food comparison takes. I’d say Disney has the edge in main dining food quality. Overall Royal has better speciality dining even though I’d say palo blows any royal speciality out of the water.
But everyone has their own opinions. Love the channel and keep it up!
We do think we need to try more Disney cruises to get a better sample size. The food on the Wish was definitely better than the Dream, but we know it can vary sometimes if there’s newbie cooks or something

The Bolognese is really good. Also on Allure they had a Gnocchi that was amazing but not sure if it was a special that night

Traveling on FOS in July & came across your videos. I’m enjoying this series & I think the wife is funny. Never tried Eggs Benedict because I’m not really sure about the hollandaise sauce, but you’ve intrigued me. Royal for sure! Disney cruises are at least double the price of Royal
What Cruise and ship do you suggest for first time cruiser. It would be myself I am 51 and my daughter is 21. We love food, singing and dancing shows, comedians. Spas, pools the beach. We usually are not big Partiers or drinkers.
Try one of the Oasis class ships and make sure you see a water show...blow your mind.

Just out of curiosity, why is odyssey your favorite? I’ve only been on allure and odyssey and I thought allure beat odyssey in every category.
Allure is super super close behind Odyssey. The main reasons is because we liked the Odyssey solarium better than Allure’s, and we love the Giovanni’s wine bar on Odyssey because you can order pizza from the restaurant there without a reservation whenever you want

How do you guys balance cruising and work?
it’s hard, we wouldn’t be able to do it if we didn’t live in florida. we’re very strategic with our vacation days, and we do a lot of 3 night cruises where we get off the ship on monday morning and go straight into work.
