I think another reason might be the fact that people nowadays are very busy and stressed about other duties/things going on in their life, so that might be a reason why people end up "ghosting". People simply forget stuff when other things are happening and sometimes people simply stop chatting/texting bc it creates another "busy thing" or more stress into their everyday life, which they feel like they don´t need.
Hello from Lebanon 🇱🇧 amazing video Dino :)) u know its sad but true. Thats life. In my opinion, ppl who really care about u wont ignore u for more than 3 days without explanations. If u care about someone u give them time at least a few mins per day to tell them good morning and make sure they are okay. I would never ghost a person im interested in. I will ghost (ignore them completely) if im not interested in them. I feel bad for doing that but i really dont like wasting ppl's time with trying. Was dating before and was guilty of ghosting, the person was not my type, nor someone I wanted to be friends with. Also experienced the same back.
I ghosted a long standing friend for a few incidents, including saying horrible things about my favourite aunt when she passed away. I didn’t try to “sort it out” I just stopped calling.

When it happened to me, I felt it wasn’t lack of regard but an inability to communicate uncomfortable feelings clearly… idk everyone does it for different reasons. Thanks for the topic videos, really enjoy them!

No factual evidence or anything. But like in relationships or anything the peak is usually the start. So that’s the highest energy and interest. Let’s be real. People are on their phone 70% of the time. So it’s not like they don’t see ur notifications. You just become not their top priority. Because well they’ve one found someone to start this cycle over with. Or two they just are busier and could care less about you. We have a small attention span for example. You’ll focus on things only if they attract you. But the longer it goes the less and less strength that pull has (especially around the 2-4 month mark in conversations w people) that’s usually when they decide hey do I get what I’m looking for in this? Or no. So often times as opposed to hurting u they’ll ghost not knowing what to do or they’ll ghost bc they just don’t care

Yes, I am a product owner in IT. I build apps and websites. One of the apps in my portfolio is the biggest in the world in its segment.
I used to have my own companies in IT as well, when I still lived in the Netherlands.
