  • Some of the culture shocks we’ve been experiencing since we moved back to America after 7 years in Europe. We lived in small town Germany and Italy for context. Thanks for watching!

This deserves part 2 and part 3! It would be indeed very interesting to learn how America has changed from your point of view.

Random US person: Hey, how are you?!?
Me, European: I'm ok, I... bla bla bla.
Random US person: Ok, ok, shut up, nobody care!

The cash thing depends on the part of Europe. In the North you also can’t pay everywhere with cash anymore. The south is a bit slower.
Just as with smoking, here in the Netherlands almost nobody smokes anymore, it isn’t aloud in cafes and restaurants (inside or outside) anymore. I was shocked by the heavy smokers in the South (Spain, France etc)

@@tikitube1 It's taken me awhile to stop freaking out. Haha. I knew reverse culture shock would be a thing, but I didn't know how it would hit. Eight months on and I'm involved in local activities and connecting with new friends and I'm seeing the fun side of things.
