I will agree with you Wil. Sumaguing is one of the best and interesting cave in the Philippines. Ten years ago the first time and (last so far) that I visited Sumaguing cave, I was in awe because of the rock formations (king, queen, prince & princess). I'm really looking forward to do spelunking again.

Watched this before I went to Sagada a few months back.I also went to Sumaguing Cave but before that I was in the Lumiang Cave because it was a cave connection.
It was one of the best experiences in my life! But I gotta admit those cliffs got me really scared and add those slippery limestones by the way!. I even thought that I was the youngest to go inside the caves cause I'm 12 years od, but I was surprised to see a 10 year old also exploring the caves. #travellingislife
Hey Wil! I, literally, watched this vlog 5 mins. ago. Then I checked my facebook after and I saw this article that the cave was shut down by the local government because someone just died in there. Too sad. I'm about to plan for a Sagada cave trips next time I visit the Philippines! And this one (cave) looks like it has plenty of obstacles before reaching the other end (which will definitely give me more adrenaline!) Anyways. I hope Pudra's feeling better! :)- Fan from Canada!

Your pudra just did some special forces s*** right there... moving on thru the pain... Way to go Pudra! Feature the Kadayawan festival in Davao in August, then go to Samal island, then visit the Phil. Eagle sanctuary at the foot of Mt. Apo (The highest mountain in the Philippines), and visit/take the Eden ecotourism tour. August is the best time to go because its also harvest season and all the tropical and exotic fruits you can think of are readily available... 😉

Compared to the Underground river, it's nothing because you will just sit in a banca....that Cave in SAGADA is extreme, with no safety harness, ultracold water and stiff climbs...Glad to survived it!!!!
Wow i remember going here 2 years ago and i swear to god i'll never gonna go spelunking again! hahaha i never thought i'd still get outside those connecting caves! but it was a great experience though... same with the super duper tiring trek to Bomod-Ok Falls 😉😉

sumaging is not from saging but from nasagi ( get touched or in contact). the cave is dark and rocky so it is possible that lagi Kang masasagi sa loob ng yungib. dumagat words can be used- u malayo deketam on kamalotan ( lumayo sa atin ang kasamaan).

There's a newly openned cave in SAGADA (victoria cave) which is more beautiful than sumaguing cave but a little bit more dangerous...

Will why didn't you also go through lumiang cave? It's really an experience cuz from there we had to go through holes to pass through. We were there for 3-4 hrs from lumiang to sumaguing. I also think that Lumiang is more dangerous.

We went there last year and went through the other entrance route. The tour guides use rubber slippers cause it makes them traverse easier. I almost fell off the part where you have to climb up using a rope and a human ladder.
The tour guides said that the route you used is harder to climb! The whole trip requires upper body strength and perserverance.

Wil try to visit Bucas Grande Island. Its just near Siargao. They have Sohoton Cove which is one of the most visited spots in Surigao. Just near Siargao. Have you heard about Enchanted River!? Oh go there!!

Been there in sagada 2 years ago will..and we do the cave connection..we entered the first cave(i forgot the name) from the other side and exited in sumaguing..need to flexible and know basic rock climbing..its quite dangerous but twas very exciting and the coolest i did so far.. :)

To me it's not really that dangerous Will, i came here 2012 with my husband and nieces, it's so exciting that we did it at the end. It's better to remove whatever you are wearing on your feet, the rocks are very very smooth to walk on and you will be surprised. Great full to see there such a nature like that.
