I'm currently going through a process of divorcing. This session has revealed a lot for me. I have never seen a lasting godly marriage, an example of staying power. I thought getting married would be problem free/ problem solved. I was so wrong, just similar to believe in Christ, at a point thought I had arrived and there would be somewhat easy street. But in all actuality the work and relationship was just getting started. It requires for me much self reflection and honestly evaluating my past, present perspective and posture.❤We have to heal.
Wow I can sympathize with you after 2 years of being divorced. I am taking the steps to heal inside out… It’s a journey but with God all things are possible. Be Encouraged on this journey of discovering God and yourself in a new way. Remember nothing is wasted or lost with God. He Knows Our Name👏👏❤️👊🫡💯🙌👍

I allowed myself, because of self, to disconnect and stop giving and serving. I went away for a few days, fell on my knees, and confess my sin to God. He restored my mind. 🙌🙌

Crazy how you described codependency. I was just thinking it seemed the more I healed. The closer I got to God, the more my husband pushed me away all the way into divorce. And even in the divorce process he attempted to take our son but listing all of my sins from since we were dating which is weird because you chose to stay with me and watched me grow and change from my past and now that you are out of love you use my past to shame who I am now in Christ. I don’t hate my husband even though now I know he hates me so this reaching helped me understand a little better why. Very hurtful but I’m grateful for the growth
Two people wanting to marry MUST 1) Work on the healing of their trauma, 2) Have a close relationship and yearning for Jesus, and 3) Knowledge of our covenant spouse. This is just the basic. If not there will be unnecessary trauma. But even in that God will lead you….just listen.
