i bought this as my first bike.. i love it and think it will serve me well for quite a few years. i don't daily commute, its just for weekend bike trips and relaxing rides. Great review mate 👍
Kinda interesting the larger channels don't have the guys to complain about the shock. Your not the 1st to mention it, but there's not many of you. Thanks.
Yeah not sure what's going on there. I can't believe it hasn't been mentioned. After my review I read some and no one mentioned it. Then you check owner reviews and lots of people talk about it...
@@onthebackwheel maybe they don't want to jeopardise the next product launch in tenerife! For me, I think the upcoming tiger sport 660 fits the bill, but I hope there aren't the same doubts
Isn't the rear shock preload adjustable? Most seem to think the set up is really good out of the box, seeing most of the comparison videos between the mt07 and the trident they all seem to think the set up is better on the trident but they do comment on it being on the stiffer side, I tested the trident and have lots of experience with the mt07 pre face lift and I personally just wanted the throttle response of the mt07 on the trident, now the aftermarket has caught up with forks and rear shocks plus the exhaust options and the remap it's going to be interesting to see the Dyno and road test of modded tridents, but the triumph made it clear that this is aimed at entry level, I personally think that if a more experienced ride wants this styling then the closest in my opinion would be the xsr900 pre face lift.
Hugh? so what are you looking for in a bike? most of the new bikes only go one of 2 ways, "old school" Z650rs, (1970's or 80's style,) / or modern transformer (robot) ; insectoid (bug face) the latter, just horrible looking. I myself prefer old school style, this bike is kinda just your plain o'l naked bike/standard been around for ages. Semi old school with a modern seat/tail thats about it. Guess im just wondering about more specifics. I myself would say it looks more like a box of cheetah's🤣 lol, ???

I enjoyed the video. I want to see your tiger sport 660 review soon.
I wonder what the rear suspension is like because it's adjustable

I'll see if they have any test bikes in the future :)

Yep it has preload adjustment.I thought the rear shock was very bad tbh
First thing I did was change the rear shock. Then fitted a Maxton fork cartridge to sort the front end. Now a its a great handling bike
Something in the background of your video sounds like a start trek tri-corder.
Haha yes. They are called bellbirds
Can you compare to the street twin. Thanks
If I can get my hands on one, certainly
yeah i'd get the new z650rs or mt-07 personally. 👍
I like the look of the 650rs
mt 07 is the best fun naked bike mid- size,.. fantaastic moto ,... very good engine
I am so glad we don't have that nanny state tiered license crap. No 'restricted' motors. Get yer endorsement and buy what ya want.
But that's the problem, totally inexperienced riders on fireblades etc
top speed is 170,...180 kmh ?!! uhnnmmm,..
Yes! I think you might hit 180 with a very big straight. I got 174
Its a joke! A 48 Ps runs 170 to near 190km/h 🙈😂😂
cant be. is that limited to A2 license ?
Nothing is ever perfect, but those looks, its uglier than a bucket of frogs, damn me.
Hahahaha, haven't heard that one
