Tired of your hand getting caught in the kickback from your usual locking pliers? You know…that big snap when you release the pressure? Our newly designed and patented locking pliers eliminate that risk, while still providing enormous clamping power. A low-impact release ensures the safety of your hand with a simple push and squeeze operation that allows the jaws to release slowly and smoothly.
Patented low-impact release mechanism keeps your fingers from getting snapped by the handle upon release from the locked position
Our uniquely designed adjustment knob allows you to apply more tension to the fastener and reduces the risk of rounding
The simple operation method of 1. PUSH and 2. SQUEEZE allows you to activate or release with just one hand
This one-handed functionality allows you to position the wrench and release readily - keeping you in control of the tool and the work piece
This set includes a 10-inch curved jaw and a 6-1/2 inch long nose to help you with a variety of projects
The knob can be turned by a socket, a wrench, a screwdriver shaft or by hand
Molded handles provide grip and comfort during use
Designed and tested to exceed ASME specifications
Hassle-free lifetime guarantee

I have an old pair of locking pliers from my dad who worked in the space industry. The only markings visible on them is "made in Japan". They have a very-black finish and almost looks like it was made by a precision machinist. If they were not so scratched-up by my dad, I would have kept them in a display case.
All the new stuff feels springy, imprecise and the jaws have lots of play. These have thick precision-fit hinge-pins (rather than the rivets used on newer stuff). The narrow jaws fit into places like nothing else. In a pinch I've even taken off a neighbor's wheel locks without any cursing or damage to the wheels.
If some-one made a pair like that today, even for $200 I'd pick them up. That may sound like a lot but when your project it stalled because something is stuck or jammed, it's totally worth it.
OK OK! you convinced me!
That lever on the vise grips can be squeezed *toward* the bolted handle to make it easier to pop them apart. Is that a feature you didn't know?
I just got the OEM TOOLS set of 7 locking pliers. They don’t have the nifty button, but they do have the hex head for a socket. Nice price too.
My brother, how did you know the 29th was my birthday. Gotta send this to the wife. Lol.. Thanks for bringing these to the channel!! And of course it’s 10mm, they are harder to find than Sasquatch
Hahaha, happy birthday Mike!!!!!!
@@ToolReviewZone thanks brother
I've been using pre Stanley Black & Decker Irwin same size as yours and the needlenose Peterson vise-grips USA made before Irwin brought them
Bought mine out of high school in the 70s. I've come up with a several in dads ole barn that needed restoring. Like new, worth the effort. 😊
Now they are definitely neat!! Thanks for posting!
I'll have to make a trip to Lowe's! Thanks brother!
Let me know how you like them brother
I recently got RYOBI locking pliers off of Direct tools. Hhhmmm. They have Ryobi hand tools. I do have vice grips that have been in my possession for 42 years. I don't use them alot but when I did. They saved my backside.
Wow, didn't even know ryobi had them. Thanks Ron!!!!
I go Direct tools occasionally to get my Ridgid tools and Ryobi nailers when they discount items.
@RidgidRon may need to check them out brother
I’ve got auto locking pliers from lockjaw. I’m not sure if you guys have them in America but I’m sure other companies sell a similar product. Love not having to stuff around adjusting the knob until it’s right I can go from job to job and it always fits
Yes, we have that style in the States. I bought mine in early 70's.
@@l.george7517 I assumed you had auto locking pliers and clamps I just meant the lockjaw brand
Oh DAMNNN. im buying a set!!! Kobalt nailed it with these.
Yeah bro, these are pretty awesome 👊
Thank you to all the members💯
Vise grip automatic pliers are real nice like lol they require no tightening
I will be buying these to compare to the new Channelock locking pliers and the Knipex. Last Best Tool showed the soft release feature of the Knipex, which also can hold onto the work with a light grip on the handle. I’m hoping the Kobalt and Channelock both have “after release” hold function. Thanks for making entertaining and informative videos!
Going to Lowe's tomorrow, will be picking up the 2 pack! Thanks
I have a set of two mini vice grips. They are only 5in long. They come in handy sometimes. So dont overlook the different sizes and shapes of vice grips.
Anyone who invests in these pliers is sure to be thrilled with their performance. Great find!👍👍
Those are cool. I think they made my must have list.
Let me know if you try them 👊👊👊
Ok, i'm sold. I have busted many a finger releasing overtight vise grips. I'll get a set this week or order online if they are there.
Yeah bro, I've done it many times as well. 🤣 let me know how you like them Rob 👊
those are the smartest locking pliers ever, clint👊
Oockeshoek 👊👊👊
Absolutely!! I hate having to guess the exact grip whatever im working on. Its a bit time consuming.
nice. in the fitters and i know other trades we weld a big washer to the screw so you can tighten it by hand or stick a screw driver in and tighten. but that button is nice
Can you post links to these fastastic tools
Those are real nice like! I’m going to go get me some tomorrow. Thanks for the reviews man! 👍
Those are real nass like! 💯👍
Brother man Dave 👊👊👊
DAMMMM YOU! I have no business buying any more locking pliers, but now I gotta get this set. Just don't tell my wife next time you see her at the Sip and Paint.
Lol I saved up and bought all Milwaukee electrical tools and I could not stand them, I ended up buying a temporary Kobalt electrical tool kit and I've had them for like 4 years now LOL. Everything else I own is a name brand but I love those hand tools, I never used any of their other tools
They look great it's a shame us mortals in the UK 🇬🇧 can't buy them 😢
Picked up there channel lock type naas like also. Innovated.
Can't find these on Lowes canada website, how do I buy them???
Bremen harbor freight are amazing, not button needed bro, made in Taiwan!
These hera look real rite nas lak..I think I get me a pair. Lol
That would save a finger or two. Gona have to give them a try.
Gripping video! Had me fasten tight till the end
Hahaha, nice one Dan The Man 🤣👊
Nice! Been looking for an excuse to trash my crappy Husky locking pliers. I didn’t want to spend a lot on them because it’s not a tool I use very often which is why I went with the Husky but they don’t lock worth a damn!
Man I wish we had Cobalt in NZ, they are REAL Nass like!!!
Time to replace ye ol' Vice Grip brand lol It's one of the few hand tools I have yet to replace from my old ragtag collection. It was going to be the Milwakia ones but these are winners
I don't dislike your technique and admittedly I've never done it that way, but I can see 1 or 2 instances where it may have been handy to know
in my cart before the video was over lol the vise grips are brutal on my hands
I'm in the UK, bet that I can't find a supplier of those over here.🙁
Looks like a nice tool brother.👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
👊👊👊👊👊
Check out the 2 pack self adjusting pliers. I'm have to check out the locking ones. Thanks. I've been impressed by kobalt. See my comment on the vise grips. Those are what I always wanted in the 70s.
I love those pliers they are great love the video
I like how you can lock them and not take them off your project.
You know, I watched your video about the vise grips and thought that the allen wrench thingy on the adjustment was cool and wondered why I had never seen that before. Well, I have 4 pairs of vise grips, all Vise Grip brand, of my own so I checked them out yesterday. NOT ONE of them had the vice grip thingy on the adjustment, not one.
Better get some new vise grips 👊
Those are real naas like!
I'm going to miss made in U.S.A. Malco vice grips when the stock runs out. There's just no comparison in quality.
It was all good until you pulled out that priceless, impossible to find, stealth 10mm socket. No one has one of those!
FWIW I drove through dayton on my way to and from LA and waved in your general direction. Hope you saw me. 😂
Hahaha, I seen ya brother, and waved back 🤣👊👊👊
This tool is truly worth the investment. 👍👍
Yada Yada Yada. Lockjaw for the win.
With the Milwaukee the screwdriver you use to tighten you pop them open with. Easy on the hand.
More likely to have a screwdriver handy than a socket
I do like the looks of those kobalt though with that release. Might have to add them to the arsenal
The HF with a square drive sounds better than the hex or socket
But that Kobalt release sounds real nas like
Thx for sharing
That definitely is real nass like. 🙌🏽💪🏽👏🏽
Smeeesh that like button. 👀👉🏽 👍🏽
Thanks for the comment and SMEEESH Jason!!!!
I like it thank you
Real Nass lock!
Hahaha Fred 👊
Ok how hard are the jaws themselves?
Are day GARONTEED?
That's super real nice like 🎉🎉🎉
Beautiful ❤❤❤❤
See what happens when you actually give something new a try? Had you ever made it past the curtains section at Blowe's, you might have stumbled upon those things years ago.
In many instances, Kobalt is what Ridgid ought to be. TTI really needs to make up their minds about their brand identities and stick to the gameplan.
Lol Craig.... I guess you're right brother 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I agree with the statements too. Ridgid should have all of this as well 👊
@@ToolReviewZone I don't know what the hell Ridgid is ever doing. Ryobi has built out a huge, diverse line that has different tiers within that platform. We all know what Milwaukee is.
Ridgid? Hey try out our Octane line. You likey? No more Octane. Find an orange tool that's a beast? Next year, they'll scale it down to underperform so as not to show up their big red brother. You want OPE? Nah....*several years later* Hey, check out our OPE. Brand identity matters. I wonder what Ridgid's pronouns are...smh. They ought to release an orange waffle maker, because waffling is their specialty.
@@sanfranatic1 I think the main issue with Ridgid is that it's licensed to TTI and actually owned by Emerson. Seems that Emerson gets the final say on what is made and what isn't. They really have a great opportunity to do great things for sure
@@ToolReviewZone Yeah that's exactly what I suspect as well, but that shouldn't mean they can't develop a cohesive plan for the brand they're licensing and stick to it. The issue is in the offices and not on the floor, but they can't seem to stick to a strategy...unless the strategy was to make consumers as confused as they are.
I don't have a dog in the fight and I understand that competition between brands benefits all of us, but I have what I need for now so I don't care all that much. It's just that nonsense and ineptitude are frustrating to watch. I have no allegiance to any brand and I think the mob mentality of tool consumers with brands is foolish. I bleed red because I'm not a bug, not because I am aligned with a brand. I pay them. They don't pay me.
I like being able to throw the socket on there. Thank God it wasn't the 10mm. Oh wait. Crap I already lost mine
Hahaha, so true Kentucky 🤣🤣👊👊👊
Put a piece of D2 stock in a vice and see how they hold up to Peterson USA
Real nicelike 😁
Who knew ? Now I have to weigh an occasional pinched finger versus storing another set of (better) pliers around. I won't be able to sleep tonight !
Those are nice
Man, not for sale to Canadians..... why??
Thas real nas like!
I super smeeeeeshed this video
Thanks for the SMEEESH, and double THANKS for the super SMEEESH Dan!!!!
If you are not tightening those with an impact and socket, are you really trying?😀
No locking plier will beat the made in America Malcos. Engineer brand from Japan is also nice.
Mole grips made in England are good
Real nice like 👍 😊
Now let’s find a camera that will focus on the right tool.
👏👏👏for the 🤣🤣 & smeeshing good information
Ace!
So now when you go to the store. Buy extra 10mm wrench or socket(s). When you get the pliers. LoL 😳🤔
I’m just wondering how you’re supposed to do that to the little one when your 10mm just walks off as they tend to do? That’s not nasss like. 😂
Whaaaaat?! 👍🏼
Milwaukee pipe threader prototype
My old kobalt vice grips are not nice like that!!!!!
Hahaha
Better living through good engineering...
That mech looks destined to fail.
How the hell did you find a 10 mill socket, you lucky bugger?
🤣🤣🤣👊👊👊
Best pliers=Knipex
Nice
These were so crappy that I gave them away after 3 uses
😎🛠️😎🛠️😎
Niice
Like
I gave up on these pliers. These are always out of stock.
Knipex
We just throwing out names here or something
Not impressed, "addressing" problems that aren't problems. I have been using locking pliers for 50 years and have been able to work around these "issues" from day one. Plus, the additional bulk in the release mechanism gets in the way and leads to more complexity and worn parts in the future... and if you need rubber grips to not slip or hurt your hands, you need to rethink your mechanical abilities.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Niiiice like
Saaawweeeettt
Not bad looking tools. Too bad they're 100% Chinesium.
You lost me at Kobalt.
1st
Dayuuuuum 81👊👊👊
Made in china, so no
Hey Dude, I think you're good at what you do but why no lose the weird "Louisiana-Cajun" accent when you say words like Me-tal or Heya? It makes me click off your videos. You have a great speaking voice and you're very knowledgeable but you don't need the goofy accent.
