A true gentleman. He’s so brave and so relentless for they way he decided to ask for help and for having the guts to make a decision and change his life forever. There’s no drug in this world that could lead to a happy ending, luckily Elton is still with us and he’s having a heck of a farewell tour. You can feel it from the way he speaks and from the meaning of his messages that it cost him one and a half… to get back up, get sober, get clean and learn to love himself again (one of the hardest things to do). More than 32 years later after quitting coke, alcohol and pills, he has created the biggest AIDS foundation in the world. Respect the man for that, life gave him and gives us all a second chance everyday. You can always be a better version of yourself and you can always be better than you were yesterday.
Don't know. List of places played (285) during Farewell tour (click on his name in blue) - www.setlist.fm/stats/songs/elton-john-63d6be6f.html?song=I+Want+Love -
During the first part of the farewell tour he played "believe", but eventually he decided to change it to "I want love" because of the release of the rocket man film
Looking back it looks like the bassist did play the wrong note which threw Elton off but it's live so anything can happen and most artists just laugh it off. It's far from the worst mistake live because one time when Elton did a show at his Las Vegas the drummer had a bit of a tempo problem as he played Philly Freedom too slow not once but twice causing Elton to storm off stage.
@@jaggass Nigel's screwed up like that a number of times. I'm not sure if Matt messed up at the end but it is live music so you have to expect it to happen. Elton's played wrong notes, etc. a number of times over the years.
I am neurotypical, and still trying to fully understand it. But the woman I am soon to marry is high functioning, so when she's having a moment, all I want to do is love her and comfort her. Hell, thats just what I want to do in general. But agree. There should he more awareness raised for those that are on spectrum as well.
Wow that story is just extraordinary...this man is an international treasure, so glad we got to share these final last tours, it's been incredible.
I listened to this as the clock hit midnight and we said goodbye to 2020. Hoping that 2021 brings more love to our hurting world.
I love this song. One of my faves of Elton’s.

Omg!!! I’ve been to many of his farewell shows. He never sang this song! Do you know why he changed the set list during this show?

That was Elton.
@@jaggass It was a wrong note from the bass player, wasn't it?
