Great update Mitch! Nvidia adding more than the market cap of netflix in 1 day was insane, and the fact that the forward projections are still over 200% YoY in revenue is equally insane! At some point they will likely start missing expectations but that could potentially be years off and you'd have to be a braver man than me to bet against them at the moment - despite my channel name! Hahaha
Thank you for your response. I asked because our portfolios are around the same size with similar investments. However your returns are a lot higher than mine. I only started investing in 2021 and I try to put minimum of 1k (usually end up putting a few hundred more) so my profit is only 4k due to the fact I have not been investing as long as you. @@MitchShoesmith
So if you decided that the T212 ISA was the account you wanted to pay into for that year, could you still reinvest the dividends in the Vanguard ISA within that same year period, as technically it is already in that account?
Historically I’ve not done so, if I’ve understood correctly the way I do mine is that when I get dividends into my Vanguard ISA I withdraw them as cash and then invest into my T212 account. However moving forwards from the 2024 tax year you can invest in as many stocks and shares ISAs as you want
great video Mitch! So you're basically considered long-term investor, then you don't really day-trade right? Or if one of your stocks isn't doing very well and drops quite substantially, do you sell it ? I've had a very bad experience trading CFD's on leverage on trading212 so I'm transitioning into Invest, with no margin/leverage.
Thanks! No I don't day trade at all, I did previously but not anymore. Far less stressful and far less work required in just simple long term investing :)
@@MitchShoesmith I see! However, overnight holding does carry a quite substantial risk no? Day traders don't hold any positions the next day, so if i'm investing 50k longterm..and then you get a huge gap difference of 2-3k?
Mitch, here's a little heads up- Black Rock ishares MSCI Semiconductor tracker (Semi). I does hold Nvidia, but is only 3rd in value. 67% year growth. I started in vesting last week and got 3.7% growth on Friday! It is traded in dollars, so have to factor in exchange rates 🙂
@@MitchShoesmith there isc1 other one that's traded in GDP with a slightly higher growth rate- Vaneck Semiconductor which has a 1 yr growth of 68.14%. However the share price reflects that. Perhaps a future video on tech/IT/AI funds is an idea?
Do you actually take the profits or watch it fall back ? As with amd and most semi stocks the time to take profit is running out the fomo rally and ai talk only lasts so long and you will know yourself how volatile semi stocks are
Hello,Mitch I want to know that which brokerage account do you use, and what is the procdure to open an account with brokerage house plz guide me,Thanx
I use Trading 212, link in the description to sign up, they’ll ask you for some information in the sign up process but it’s all pretty straightforward to follow
Hey, yes all bought through an ISA, the only tax implication is the 15% withholding tax on dividends which gets automatically deducted for holding US stocks (regardless of account). Other than that it’s all free from CGT and divi tax.
Hey! Good question. In the S&P500 it’s a weighted index so if we take my Apple exposure it’s only c7% of the index, meaning my actual value in Apple shares tied to my S&P500 ETF is only around £950 (even though I have about £13.5K invested), so buying individual shares allows me to vastly increase that exposure in stocks that I believe have the potential to also perform slightly better than the index itself. Hope that helps!
Hey Mitch, I’m new to investing - when investing to the S&P500 would you recommend the acc or dist? I’m currently in the (acc) but I’ve noticed most have the Dist stock
Hey Lance, depends on preference, I’ve got the distributing fund as the accumulation fund wasn’t an option when I first started, I’d go for accumulation if I were starting out again to benefit from the reinvesting of dividends rather than having to manually reinvest them each quarter
Hi Mitch, what are your thoughts on the new Trading 212 card? For me I just want to see some cool features like being able to invest rounded up transactions etc haha! That would be really cool. I’m hoping it’s going to be released in the next few days 🤞
Hey James - I think it's potentially a great idea. I'm not sure Trading 212 are planning to become a Bank, more so it just creates a competitive advantage on their side that differentiates them from other brokers, like you say it opens up options to auto-invest on rounded up transactions, or even pay cash back to get more people using their core platforms! It's due to come out later this month, I'll do a video on it once it's released and I've got my hands on one.
Nicely done mate. Does look like an Nvidia bubble. I'm thinking about taking some of the gains just trying to decide at the moment. Good work on the portfolio!
Shows how important “time in” the market is… I have similar holding but have only really just started investing, and my portfolio is in the red already 😢
When everyone is greedy be calm , when everyone is calm be greedy ,👌🏻 big pullback will start in week three of this month imo ,starting because of happenings in the retail space mortgage sector
Hey James! Perhaps I'll include it in a future all encompassing portfolio update, conscious I don't give off the wrong impression now it's popular again.
Really enjoy your videos, subscribed You invest in the same things I do but I don't put anything into any etfs, I think being as young as you are you would do much better removing the etf from your t212 portfolio and putting more into your other stocks, then in 10 years start buying an etf, better to take more risk when you're younger, thanks
Appreciate it, thanks!! Yeah you may be right, I think having experienced the fluctuations from COVID and the tech wreck in 2022, it’s pushed me more back to holding a bigger exposure to ETFs. But certainly agree that a higher risk appetite is feasible whilst you’re younger for sure!
@@MitchShoesmithye never know what's going to happen, I think the magnificent 7 are a safe bet for the next 10-20 years, nvidia is a bit of a guessing game though
Hi Mitch, apple has had a rough time lately and the news of them dropping the apple car has had its effect, however I think it is important to state that apple is so much more now, in my opinion apple is telecommunications, entertainment, software, finance, lenders, fashion and a status symbol for many in the world, short story I’m keeping apple 😊
@MitchShoesmith I used to do a thing called Football Index and found the community great as we would all talk about the share prices of the players ect and other stuff and was just wondering if you had something similar. I'm personally looking at starting stocks/shares so just doing some research and learning first. Your videos have been a big help and have much more to watch yet.

I lost over $80k when everything started to tank. Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. It just taught me to be a better investor now that I understand more of what could go wrong. It took me over two years of being in the market, I'm really grateful I found one source to recover my money, at least $10k profits weekly. Thanks Kathleen Nolan

With the free share, do you have to pick a share lower than £100 or could you put that £100 towards say an apple share?
It’s a random share that will automatically get allocated, you can sell it and decide what you want to do with the proceeds 👌🏼
how come you don’t like nvid
It’s not a case of not liking them, think they’re a game changing company! But im comfortable with my exposure of them through the S&P500 ETF.

How does Withholding tax on Individual US stocks within a UK ISA work? What is the 15% based on and taken out of?
It’s basically a 15% tax on dividends on Us stocks and the tax is automatically deducted from the dividend you receive
