Sketching Absolute Value Functions - Conceptual Approach

  • In this short video I show how to sketch absolute value functions. The absolute value function takes negative input values and makes them positive. On a graph, we would take the negative parts under the x-axis and reflect them over the x-axis.
    I show how to sketch absolute value linear, absolute value quadratic and absolute value trig functions. This technique is very useful for students in precalculus and calculus.
