because i started Inventright coaching platform and then paused it for health reasons & I was procrastinating with building prototypes as my ideas I'm running with are new innovations & I need to prove the concept works, I have been learning 2D/3D CAD modelling the last few years so now its time to 3D print them & put the prototypes together & then I unpause my inventright coaching & going for it. Its awesome that people can pause their inventright coaching as people have things going on in their lives at different times or just need rethink things .
Great information thank you. I am at the start of my journey. I have an invention, but I am struggling to think of who to approach as I am not sure which category my invention would fall in. My invention is a bed accessory but it's not soft furnishings. X
Greetings Andrew... Thank you so much for your educational videos. Question: How do I introduce my idea to a company, that has resources, capacity and can develop it subsequently commercialize it for the benefit of me and the company. Do I enter into collaboration agreement, non-disclosure agreement and maybe non exclusive agreement...? Please comment.
It would've helped to explain what DRTV companies are. At first I thought that was the name of a particular company until I looked it up. Do not assume all your viewers have prior experience in this field, even then, not all are familiar with the entire list of terminologies and abbreviations.
Once you start reaching out to companies, usually you know if someoen is interested in about three months. However, if you haven't gotten a no from everyone, you shoud keep reaching out until you do. -Andrew
45"': why can't you re-file the provisional patent after you brought the product to the public? I've heard the secret is in its date: only you know when EXACTLY it will expire, so the risk of someone else filing it is pretty low.
Yeah that was awesome having Kathy Vidal on! It's cool she went on AGI after that too! Shows you guys are legit.
Thanks for all the great info that you always provide Andrew. 👍👍
Your welcome Mik, Keep Inventing! -Andrew

Maybe thinking about where the product would sell, then looking around that store for potential licensees would work for you. -Andrew
In provisional Patent filings documents, its ok to put drawings in separate PDF file and upload?
If you’re filing your provisional patent application at the US PTO, call their customer service. They’re great!

Thanks for the kind words Ann Marie. Keep inventing! -Andrew
If you have more than one company interested in licensing your product. Can I license to both companies? Or is that not favorable.
It really all depends.
I found prior art. But mine is slightly different. Don’t think I’d get approved. Do I still go for it? Thanks
