I've always wanted to go back to Mexico after volunteering in a school for a month at 19. Now I'm a mum I definitely want to go back, their lifestyle for children is amazing. Family units are taken seriously, I met so many lovely mums/dads and their babies, they seemed very involved and a lot of people were commuting to work everyday. That school is amazing and It's my dream to be self-sufficient enough to relocate and now I'd know exactly where to go. Thanks for the lovely videos x
Yes, the family like approach is amazing. The kids love going to school every morning. They became very social, they made new friends and they are always outside. They learned fluent Spanish in less than 1 year!
Chicago my goodness. I visited one Thanksgiving when I was like 12 and we stayed downtown which was nice but I've heard how dangerous Chicago can be. You're making a great decision for your kids. I think thats the most important thing
Great video and super informative! Does Little Tesla have open enrollment (any time of year) or does your child have to be there for the start of the school year? Have you started to research the next school for your oldest yet? I’m curious about the American school, the British American school, and Instituto Tepeyac. Also, will their schooling transfer if we decide to move back to the US? Love watching your vids!
Yes Tesla has enrollment anytime of year, the director is flexible and extremely accommodating :) The other schools are great too but it's very important to see them in person as everybody has different opinions what they want for their kids. You'll get a sense of the vibe when you enter each school :)
How does the transfer of school credits work if you all were to ever to return to American school based system back in the U.S ? Will they need to start over?
Kids can go back to their country anytime with no issues in . The private schools here in Mexico have a very high level in their curriculum, I would even say they are ahead of the states. So yes, you can go back and they can start where they left off.
I was in middle school when I went to live in Mexico Guadalajara to be exact. And they held me back two years it sucked lol my mom had to hire a tutor. when I came back to the U.S I was able to go back to the grade I was supposed to be and I was actually ahead in my class 🙂😂 I was in Mexico for almost two years.
We just moved to Puerto Vallarta, your videos have helped us in the process. I can’t find an elementary school through Little Tesla for our 6 year old. We’re going to go shop around for him, do you have a good recommendation? Thank you.
We are looking to get closer to fluvial. We are doing an Airbnb right now. Thanks for the recommendation for the summer school. I’ll look into those other two!
I'm homeschooling and living in Mexico. The law doesn't banned it, but it doesn't allowed it openly. So far you can homeschool and get a certification with INEA when the time comes. The certificate is legal and enable your kid to attend any university. The homeschool community is growing so much, mostly since COVID hit. There are communities all over the place. I'm sure you can find one in Queretaro. We're in Estado de Mexico.
@@chrisandfavygallegos3431 Why would you home school children in Mexico? What are you afraid of by sending your children to Mexican public or secular private schools? You're isolating your children even more so than homeschooling them in the United States?
this year we paid 9000 pesos per month for 2 kids ($225USD per child per month). Please keep in mid that this is subject to change and next year prices might go up - but it should give you a general idea. Hope it helps :)
@@FlyKidsFly Thanks for getting back to me! That's a great price! We pay $640 per month for one two year old in west Texas and it's about to go up to $680. We want to move to Mexico in 2-3 years and are looking at different places to live. Puerto Vallarta seems like a nice place.
It's around $450.00 dollars per month for the two. Food is around $150.00 per month for the two. After school care is around $80.00 per month for the two. Doesn't include enrollment fees. Also prices are subject to change as they do increase every year but not by much. This is the gist of it for the school they attend.
Not much time is left spending time with your children…They grow -up too fast. The school seem to be compatible with our schools…though the weather a positive factor . I’m planing to bring my grandkids to Mexico so they able to learn a different culture and Spanish….but no doubt they will be done by 2;30pm
That's exactly what we are saying! The thing is that we work till 5pm and we cannot take care of the kids if they were to come home at 2pm. They are better off staying in school for the extra 2 hours where they hang out with their friends, learn Spanish, and do their homework. It's amazing how fast they learn - in less than a year they both learned fluent Spanish
❤wow. Informative! Three languages....so cool!!

What area do you live in? Our kids went to a summer camp at Instituto Tepeyac and they loved it. Closer to Fluvial we have Anglo and British American.

What's the cost of Little Tesla?
Hello. Writing from Queretaro. Would you happen to know the laws on homeschooling here in Mexico?
We do not know anything about home schooling. We like that they get to interact with other children and get to know the culture.
