  • In this video Jason takes you on a private lesson and covers a few things that he uses to get students to a very high level of proficiency in the shortest amount of time. These topics focus on Fundamentals of Shooting, Mechanical Work, Muscle Memory, Multi Tasking versus Task Switching, Quicker Follow Up Shots, Distance Shooting, Self Control, and more.
On average, Jason’s students use no more than 50-150 rounds, depending on the students skillset, to get them dialed in like in this video.
It doesn’t take high volumes of rounds to become a good shooter. In fact, most have the mindset that a high round count makes you better but that’s not true. You can actually build bad muscle memory, which most do, if the principals aren’t applied properly.
High level round counts are for building a solid muscle memory only after you have the ability to hit your target consistently.
If you would like to train with Jason, send him a message at pike@frogmantactical.com
If you are strapped for time as most are, Jason offers instructional videos on hard drive which are tailored to your training needs. Once build the hard drive is sent to you to keep!
Have a great day and God bless,

There is no greater skill than to transfer a concept/principle coupled with physical action. Mr. Pike embodies the ancient ethos of a teacher. I feel edified in my shooting just by visual participation. Thank you for posting this vid. Bless you!

Jason, thank you for mix it up a bit and switching to this format of active tutorial / demonstration video. Both this one and the last regarding the combat side stroke were excellent explanation along with demos for reinforcement of the concepts. No filler, no fluff, just real-world experience being passed along. Thank you sir!

This is very similar to the psychology of golf. Nothing matters except the split second when the club strikes the ball. People get all wrapped up in learning perfect technique the key being from someone else who has completely different physical characteristics and muscle dynamics. In golf, just back up and through all in the same mental tempo. Most people who stink at golf are super rigid but if you watch the greats the swing is effortless and smooth.

This reminds me of all the training ST-8 gave us Navy Aircrewmen/ Rescue Swimmers while we attached as their helo crews. They wanted to know that if things went bad… we could handle ourselves until help arrived. We did a lot of fundamental drills just like this…. Except when we did not do well…. We did a ton of push-ups…. And told if you are going to not shoot well…. At least you will

This is a pretty informative video. I can't really comment on technique, but using lavalier mics, a small mixer and more importantly a limiter for the gunshots will greatly improve the video quality moving forward. Having the volume at a good level for the voices made the gunshots incredibly loud.

Jason I learned that exact technique from former Green Beret Ed Eliason. But, we weren't shooting bullets. Mr. Olympian taught me how to shoot bows and arrows with that exact trigger pull.
So, I have spent the past hour trying to locate your exact "knife & sheath" 😂 with no luck. The closest i've found is a Pro-Tech Tantilla. Maybe that's it and you just added your own sheath.
